7/18/17 6-foot-1, 180-pounder worked from an arm slot between high 3/4 and over the top.  Sat 79-84, with late life to his fastball at the upper velocity.  At the lower end the pitch showed some natural cut. Used his slider at 69-70 and curveball with 11/5 rotation at 64-66 effectively for strikes.  Changeup is thrown at near fastball velocity at 73-74.  Did not walk a batter and allowed just two hits in three innings of work.  Struck out three and induced weak contact routinely.

6/13/17 6-foot-1, 180-pound primary pitcher sat 80-83 from a 3/4 arm slot with a long arm action. Begins delivery with a side rocker step and some hip coil creates a bit of deception.  Also commanded a 11/5 breaking curveball at 70-71.  Worked three innings facing two batters over the minimum while striking out five.  Fastball had life down in zone.  Right-handed hitter starts from a slightly open stance and utilizes a short, leg-hang stride to initiate his swing from a deep hands load. Registered a 91 mph bat exit velocity and went 2-for-3 with a stolen base in game action.

10/29/16 6-foot-1, 180-pound primary pitcher sat 80-82 with a long arm motion from a high 3/4 arm slot. Begins delivery with an overhead rocker and gets over front leg well. Curveball showed tight, two plane break with 11/5 rotation at 65-67. Also commanded a slider at 73 mph and a 73 mph changeup with late fade thrown at near fastball arm speed.
Laing showcased 85 mph arm strength from the outfield and ran a 7.53 60-yard dash. Right-handed hitter starts from a slightly open stance and utilizes a controlled leg-lift stride to initiate his swing. Hands work well through contact and displayed some power to the pull-side with a bat exit velocity of 90 mph.
