6/12/18 Defensively, hands are adequate and there is commitment to working bottom up. Would benefit from more consistently working out front and though the ball while following throws.
Offensively, initiates swing from neutral, wide set up with short stride staying neutral. Separation is adequate. There is subtle front side stiffness in landing and limited backside release lending to length and and an uphill swing path. Dieks was able to square multiple balls i his round of bp and registered a 70 mph bat exit velocity.
On the mound worked out of a high 3/4 arm slot with moderate effort. Dieks demonstrated the ability to repeat his delivery. He strides open resulting in early front hip and shoulder opening. FB sat 65 mph, CB 54-56 and KN 52-53.
