7/20/16 5-foot-10, 175-pound right-handed hitter starts from a narrow, slightly-open stance and showcased a less pronounced stride than in the past. Loose hands, increased strength and a noticeable effort to stay behind the baseball resulted in balls jumping off his barrel during batting practice with a bat exit velocity of 87 mph. Registered a solid 4.45 home-to-1B time from the right-handed box and flashed 84 mph arm strength across the diamond defensively. Displayed active feet and a soft glove hand while fielding the baseball outside his body at times.

2/14/16 5-foot-10, 175-pound right-handed hitter who has added some strength to his frame recently. Ran a 7.02 60-yard dash (a couple tenths higher than back in November) and posted 90-mph exit velocity. Starts from a slightly open stance and strides to square with a big leg kick that lingers in the air. Has bat speed and his hands work through contact, although his body drifts forward with his stride, limiting his ability to let the baseball travel into the zone. Defensively, he exhibited solid actions, a loose, slinger arm action that generated accurate 82-mph throws across the infield, and an ability to complete the slow roller play.
Right-hander exhibited some added velocity from last fall sitting 79-80 from a 3/4 arm slot. The primary infielder also displayed a 68 mph curveball with sweeping 10/4 shape and a 73 mph thrown at fastball arm speed. Works with an efficient delivery, commands the zone and has a feel for three pitches. Significant additional velocity gains are unlikely.
11/7/15 5-foot-10, 165-pound right-handed hitter. Starts from a slightly open stance and strides to square. Eyes stay level while body leaks forward with stride. Good pre-swing hand rhythm and his hands work through contact, which he often makes way out front. Ran a 6.80 60-yard dash and recorded an 89-mph exit velocity. Defensively, his arm strength has ticked up to 80-mph across the diamond while utilizing a long, whippy arm action.

11/7/15 5-foot-10, 165-pound primary infielder sat 76-78 from a 3/4 arm slot. Long arm motion and slight hip coil to delivery lead to consistent arm side run. Also displayed a curveball with 10/4 shape at 64-66 and a 72 mph changeup at fastball arm speed with similar arm side run. Athletic two-way prospect ran a 6.80 60-yard dash earlier in the day.

9/13/15 5-foot-10, 165-pound right-handed hitter. Starts from a slightly open, upright stance and strides to square. Flashes bat speed and his hands work through contact despite his weight getting into his front side early. Would benefit from letting the ball travel more, so as to enhance his ability to use a greater portion of the field and drive it with more authority (which his 86-mph exit velocity indicates he has the potential to do). Exhibited a solid defensive skill set across the board with a clean exchange from glove to hand and 77-mph arm strength across the diamond.
9/13/15 5-foot-10, 165-pound primary infielder who pitched out of a three-quarter slot and stayed on-line to the plate well. Fastball sat 74-75 with occasional armside action. Flashed a solid curveball at 70-71 with 11/5 action when he maintained armspeed and elbow slot.

7/21/15 5-foot-10, 165-pound right-handed hitter. Started from narrow, slightly open stance, incorporating a long stride to square. Body comes forward with stride and he contacted the baseball well out in front in BP. Eyes stay level and his hands work. Ran a 6.81 60-yard dash and in-game best 4.34 home-to-1B time. Showcased 89-mph exit velocity and 79-mph arm strength during workout. Exhibited quick release on DP feed from third base, where he profiles better than in the middle at the next level.
2/15/15 McSorley completed a solid two day performance as a two-way prospect by sitting 77-79 out of a 3/4 arm slot with some run to his fastball. The sophomore held velocity well out of the stretch and showcased sound, repeatable mechanics to his delivery. McSorley flashed a 67 mph curveball with tight 11/5 rotation when he stay on top of it and an above average 75 mph changeup with significant run thrown at fastball arm speed.
2/14/15 McSorley is a 5-foot-10, 160-pound right-handed hitter with a feel for the barrel with a bat exit velocity of 88 mph. The right-handed hitter starts from a narrow stance and utilizes a leg lift stride to initiate his hips. The sophomore showcased a quick, accurate 79 mph arm across the diamond and capable glove work. The 6.85 runner flashed the athleticism to play third base and middle infield and will be a prospect to follow in this class as he continues to mature physically.
