Physical: Compact, durable 6-foot, 195lb frame with strength carried. 7.38 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: LHH - Wider, upright stance at a slightly open stance. Utilized a barrel-tip on time with a leg-lift stride to initiate a flat bat-head into the hitting zone. Generated natural lift after impact with ability to backspin the baseball to the RCF gap (40% fly ball rate, 350 foot batted ball distance via Trackman). Good lower-half involvement with solid rotational scores en route to a T96 mph bat-exit velocity at his peak. Handled multiple quadrants of the plate for hard, flush contact to either gap while hitting into a stiff/firm front-side in sequence.
Defensively: The primary backstop featured a flexible left knee down, kickstand operation with a soft glove hand to the catch point. Pop times ranged from 2.19-2.22 with pre-catch rhythm, driving off the backside leg on-time from a H ¾ slot (70 mph arm, accurate). Used a larger frame wisely to create down angles when blocking. Slid over to first base, showing off adequate footwork from a higher posture, bending at the waist. Released from a strong H ¾ slot with carry across the diamond (81 mph arm).
