6-foot, 205-pound right-handed hitting first baseman and left-handed pitcher. First time seeing him on the mound, solid showing for him. The fastball touched 83 mph. The spin pitch was 72-74 and slurvy. Showed a changeup at 72 mph. The delivery is simple, online and direct to the catcher. Stays with his arm and threw strikes. The slot is above ¾ and he fits the mold of a college starter at the next level. Stays with his arm and the glove side is posted appropriately. Positionally, the glove is excellent at first base, moves well and fits the mold of an athletic first baseman. Threw 84 mph across the diamond. The bat has plus life, tee exit velocity of 91 mph. Sets up even, uses a small pick up and put down of the front foot as the ball approaches. The hands work down and through the ball. Small lift in the path, should hit for power at BC. Ran a 7.31 sixty on the laser.
Tee Exit Velocity- 91 mph
6/29/16
High level right-handed hitter, he is advanced at this age as I have seen in a long time. The frame is already physical and he has serious life to his barrel. Very athletic as you could play him in the outfield and he is very advanced with the glove and feet at first base. Ran a 4.58 down the line on a dig. Threw 81 mph from the outfield with carry and accuracy. Threw 77 mph from the infield as well and will be a legit defender at first base. Tee exit velocity of 93 mph at the event. The setup is even footed with even and relaxed hands. Handles the barrel to the ball with simple direction and good hand strength. Hammered the ball all over the yard in batting practice and barrel up a couple balls in the game. Big time prospect.
