Murphy is a big, physical 6-foot-5, 215 pound right-handed pitching prospect. The rising senior showed a quick arm out of a short, controlled delivery. He stays balanced throughout and creates a good line with home plate. The fastball jumps out of his hand with late life at 83-85 MPH. He pitches on both sides of the plate and mixes in a breaking ball with tight spin at 72-73 MPH.
I like the stuff from this big right-hander. The arm is quick, he can pitch on both sides of the plate and there is definite potential for growth. He flashed some impressive spin rate numbers. His best days are in front of him and he should garner a ton of interest from colleges.
