2/3/19 - Max FB: 85, FB (83-84), CB (70), CH (77-80)

6-3, 185-pound righty continues to get better every time we see him and tease at his overall potential, throwing every FB in the 83-85 range.  Prototypical pitcher size, tall, athletic frame w/ well-proportioned lean strength, super projectable, has just scratched the surface of his frame potential.  Pitches from a full wind-up into H ¾ release from the first base side of the rubber.  Super quick arm, has a very high velocity ceiling as the frame continues to develop.  Lower half can drive a little more, glove side can get stronger, will unlock a couple ticks and improve his direction quickly with those 2 adjustments.  Straight FB.  Medium downer CB flashes proper shape and rotation.  Slows body slightly on CH, slightly drops arm-slot w/ fade and sink.  Around the zone w/ his 3-pitch mix, feel for throwing secondary pitches for strikes.

2/3/19 - 60: 7.34, Exit Velo: 86

6-3, 185-pound corner infielder shows super intriguing size, bat-speed and arm strength.  Prototypical corner IF size, tall, athletic frame w/ well-proportioned lean strength, super projectable, has just scratched the surface of his frame potential.  Offensively, hits w/ an open, upright stance w/ short hand rhythm into leg kick and short hand load.  Learning to get lower half involved consistently, occasionally over-strides.  When on time, shows above average bat-speed w/ some extension and back-spin, keeping barrel in the zone for a long time.  All fields approach w/ lot of line drives when right.  Projectable up the middle to pull power.  Has a chance to be a monster offensively depending on how the frame develops.  As an infielder, shows solid hands w/ easy arm strength w/ solid footwork.  Tools to be an impact defender, legitimate 2-way prospect, as he touched 85 on the mound.

7/3/18 - Max FB: 84, FB: 80-83, CB: 67-71, CH: 76
6-foot-2, 185-pound, RHP built on his bullpen from the East TN event with a couple of extra ticks of velocity.  Medium, athletic frame w/ present lower half strength, super projectable.  Has just scratched the surface of his frame potential.  Pitches from a full wind-up into H ¾ release from the first base side of the rubber.  Super quick arm w/ some effort in the throw.  Glove side can be stronger, is just along for the ride.  Has an idea of how to use his lower half to generate arm-speed.  FB shows occasional short arm-side run.  Medium downer CB w/ proper shape, rotation, flashes above average depth.  Worked best as a pitch to steal strikes on this day.  CH w/ arm-speed, short fade and sink.  Around the zone w/ his 3-pitch mix, projects to command.

7/3/18 - 6-2, 185-pound, RHH picked up a hit in game w/ zero swing and miss on 4 swings.  Medium, athletic frame w/ present lower half strength, super projectable.  Has just scratched the surface of his frame potential.  Offensively, hits w/ an open, upright stance w/ short hand rhythm into leg kick and short hand load.  Generates bat speed through the zone.  Learning to maintain separation in his load, feel for not getting out on his front leg.  Up the middle approach w/ projectable pull power.  Defensively, presents a solid target, can present it below the hitter’s knees to help him steal low strikes.  Tips location early by pre-setting in that location before relaying signals to his pitchers.  Shows the ability to receive w/ quiet glove, strong forearms.  Some stiffness behind the plate, learning to box the baseball consistently.  Was not tested to throw in game.

6/27/18 - Max FB: 82, FB: 78-81, CB: 70-72, CH: 73-77
6-foot-2, 185-pound, RHP stood out with his frame and projectable stuff.  Tall, athletic frame w/ well-proportioned present strength, super projectable.  Prototypical pitcher frame.  Pitches from a full wind-up into H ¾ to ¾ release from the first base side of the rubber.  Long and loose, projectable quick arm.  Learning to be strong with glove side, is just along for the ride.  Clean, repeatable delivery w/ more velocity coming.  Straight FB shows occasional short arm-side run.  Tight medium downer CB w/ proper shape.  Straight CH w/ arm-speed.  Around the zone, projects to command.

6/27/18 - 60 Time: 7.69, Pop Time: 2.10-2.13, Position Velocity:  C-77, Exit Velocity: 81

6-foot-2, 185-pound, RHH shows intriguing arm strength and frame.  Tall, athletic frame w/ well-proportioned present strength, super projectable.  Prototypical pitcher frame.  Offensively, hits w/ an open, upright stance w/ hand rhythm into leg kick to square and short hand load.  Generates bat speed through the zone.  Shows ability to keep upper and lower halves in sync to generate bat speed.  Some loft, projectable power as frame matures.  As a receiver, shows developing receiving skills, getting used to working his frame behind the plate.  Can present a low target, get a little more straight up with home plate in his stance.  Shows tools to receive with some stiffness, will improve w/ reps.  As a thrower, features arm strength w/ carry through target w/ some gather and developing footwork.
