Possessing a well-rounded toolset, the 2022 Sun Belt POY hasn’t posted the big numbers this season that he did last (.373/.435/.668 with 16 home runs), but he has continued to rise as a pro prospect. He’s a plus runner that has stolen 46 bases in the past two seasons combined and is also an above average defender who gets good jumps and runs direct routes. Against Southern Miss, Roccaforte hit the ball hard, and he hit the ball hard often. With weekend EVs of 110.6 (single), 106 (429’ home run), 102.3 (double) and 102.3 (error on ground ball) the left handed hitter put his barrel on the ball consistently with an unorthodox, flat swing with limited extension. At 6-foot-1, 200-pounds he is physically mature and lacks much projection, but the present package of tools and performance should be enough to hear his name called in the middle rounds of Day Two.
