Iowa commit, currently ranked No. 8 in the Wisconsin 2020 class. 5-foot-10, 160-pound, live-bodied, right-handed hitting shortstop. Dynamic defensive middle infielder that plays with pace and bounce to his game. Arm flashes easy carry across the diamond, can play on the move and throw from multiple slots. Offensively, top-of-the-order potential at the next level. Path is short to the baseball and stays flat through the zone. Lined a single to left-field in a game on Friday; 5.05 on the turn. Also, showed his advanced run tool running a 4.03 down-the-line on a groundout to second.

Iowa commit. Batted leadoff and played shortstop for a stacked Hitters squad. At the dish, balanced stance, short stride, smooth load, great balance. Short bat path, quick hands. Finished the game 2-for-3 with a pair of hard hit singles. In the field, showcased natural actions at the shortstop position. Soft hands, quick and clean footwork, above average range. 

Body: 5-foot-10, 155-pounds. Proportional build, athletic body type.
Positional Profile: SS One of the top middle infield defenders in the state.
Run: 6.80 runner in the 60. Plus runner, light on feet.
Hit: RHH. Balanced stance, smooth loading action, short stride, excellent balance through contact. Short path with middle of the field approach, occasionally hits off back side, showed ability to repeat swing and contact. Athletic hitter.
Power: 87 mph exit velocity from the tee. 
Defense: Plus defender for age, easy natural actions and soft hands. Feet are light and play through the baseball, showed above average range and footwork.
Arm: RH. INF - 89 mph. Plus arm strength and plays up. Action is loose and athletic, works from multiple angles and on the move. Accurate across and shows carry.

7/30/18 - Seegers, an Iowa recruit, continues to impress me whenever I watch him play, this time at OK Limited Series. The shortstop is the engine that makes the Hitters team run. The leadoff hitter is patient at the plate where he is comfortable seeing multiple pitches and hitting from behind. His hands load straight back as he squares off his feet, and work the barrel directly to the ball spraying line drives from gap to gap. A gifted runner with confident, twitchy hands on the infield, Seegers made many plays look easy (that were not) at shortstop throughout both games.

6/19/18 - Iowa recruit. For two days now, Seegers has been must-watch whenever he steps onto the field. Square-shouldered and high-waisted at 5-foot-10, 155-pounds, he has advanced athleticism for his age with a quick first step in the field and out of the box (6.76 60-yard dash). At the plate, the right-handed hitter is patient and selective from the leadoff spot. He throws his hands directly to the ball striking it to produce line drives working gap to gap. In the field, he possesses clean hands and an accurate arm while getting to most balls from side to side. Overall, Seegers is a nice player who really sets the tone for the Hitters 16U squad.

2/25/18 - Iowa commit. 5-foot-9, 145-pound shortstop, lean wiry frame. Plus runner, light feet, 6.76 laser timed 60. Right-handed hitter, balanced setup, short stride small leg lift, lower half works, good balance. Path is level, short to the baseball, loose athletic hands. Line drive spray contact, 87 mph exit velocity from the tee.

12/7/17 - Verbally committed to Iowa.

9/13/17 - Currently ranked No. 11 in the Wisconsin Class of 2020. 5-foot-9, 145-pound wiry, right-handed hitting shortstop. Stands out defensively, good instincts with good jumps on contact. Made a play going in the hole on a hard hit ball, strong, accurate throw across the infield. Offensively leg lift timing, hard line drive contact in game. Turned in a plus run time on a 4-3 groundout, 4.18 down the line. 

7/24/17 - 5-foot-9, 145-pound, lean, athletically built, infielder. Ran a 4.25 down-the-line in game. Right-handed hitter, balanced setup, smooth load, short path and maintains good balance through contact. Easy, simple swing, short level bat path, hands work above the baseball, line-drive approach and fluid rhythm; 82 mph exit velocity from a tee. Defensively, soft hands, quick, active feet, plays well on the move, maintains body control and athletic arm action; ability to throw from multiple angles. Accurate throws, flash carry across the infield and clocked at 83 mph.

5/8/17 - 5-foot-10, 145-pound, athletic middle infielder. Offensively, made good contact in each at-bat, including a double in which he turned on a fastball. On the base paths showed off intelligence and speed, stole at will, swiped third base multiple times.

4/9/17 - 5-foot-9 145-pound middle infielder. Showed range to both sides, soft hands. Athletic arm action with ability to throw from multiple angles, accurate throws across the diamond.

2/26/17 - 5-foot-9, 145-pound right-handed hitting two-way player. Defensively showed above average actions for his age, works out in front, cushions the baseball, plays through the baseball. Arm action is athletic, loose from a high ¾ slot, 74 mph across. Balanced setup, slightly wider stance, loads hands back. Path works well, short to the baseball, level through contact, stays on top of the baseball. 84 mph exit velocity from the tee. 7.34 runner in the 60. On the mound arm works similarly to that on the infield. Fastball showed arm side run, 74-76 mph, touched 77 mph. Changeup sinks, showed control, 58-64 mph. Showed a sinker at 56-58 mph, occasionally acted like curveball.
