Roehl gave up a pair in the first inning but settled in nicely to retire 17 of the last 20 batters faced. Roehl finished allowing seven hits over seven innings, striking out six. He pitched with a steady diet of well-located fastballs at 80-82 mph, touching 83, and a complementary curveball at 67-69 mph.
