On Sunday, December 14, Prep Baseball Report-Missouri held the Show-Me Preseason All-State Showcase at All-Star Performance in St. Louis. 24 players from the 2016 class took part in the event.

Top Pitching Prospect
Trevor McMurray, RHP, Lafayette, 2016
McMurray is a 6-foot-2 180-pound right-hand pitcher, throws with downhill tilt, over-the-top release, regular effort, fast arm speed, pounded the zone with three pitches, event-best max 87 mph fastball, worked at 85-87 mph with run, throws strikes on both sides of plate, curveball at 74-76 mph, mostly 11-to-5 shape, late/sharp action, bottom of zone, change-up at 78-79 mph, run. Overall, projectable with future velocity increase, repeatable mechanics, command and movement of all pitches.

Bausinger is a 5-foot-11 155-pound right-hand pitcher. Throws with easy effort, arm works, high three-quarters release, quick arm speed, command of three pitches, strike thrower, 81-83 mph fastaball, slight run, 11-to-5 shape curveball, late break, 68-69 mph, change-up at fastball arm speed, sink, lands in-line with target, smooth rhythm, athletic finish, maintains body control throughout delivery, has shown increase in velocity since attending last event, upward trend.
Jeff Beiter, RHP, Fort Zumwalt East, 2016
Beiter is a strong bodied 5-foot-11 200-pound right-hand pitcher, fastball ranges from 75-78 mph, over-the-top release, easy delivery with rhythm, works both sides of plate, 12-to-6 shape curveball, late break, good command, 64-66 mph change-up, slight arm-side release. Overall, simple and repeatable delivery with good arm action.
Brett Denney, RHP, Logan-Rogersville, 2016
Denney is an athletic 6-foot-1 197-pound right-hand pitcher, peppered the zone with 77-82 mph fastballs, slight run, 11-to-5 curveball at 69-70 mph, shape and late break, works below the zone, change-up at 71-74 mph, near fastball arm speed, controlled tall and fall type delivery, regular effort, high leg kick in windup, smooth accelerated rhythm, repeatable.
Joshua Konecek, RHP, Parkway Central, 2016
Konecek is a strong-legged 6-foot-1 185-pound right-hand pitcher, over-the-top release, regular effort, 79-84 mph fastball, one of the top velocities of the event, straight, loose/quick arm action, stays in-line, athletic finish, 12-to-6 curveball, 65-69 mph, late action, 69-71 mph change-up, straight, works bottom of zone, projectable frame, controlled/repeatable delivery.
Devin Michael, Windsor, 2016
Michael is a lean 6-foot 160-pound right-hand pitcher, works fastball at 77-79 mph, straight, high three-quarters release, loose/long arm swing, regular effort, smooth rhythm, tall and fall type delivery, controlled, 63-65 mph 11-to-5 curveball, gradual "slider-type" action, 71-75 mph change-up, fastball arm speed, some arm-side release,
Logan Pitts, RHP, Fort Zumwalt North, 2016
Pitts is a 6-foot-5 215-pound right-hand pitcher, drop and drive style thrower, strike thrower with three pitches, late movement on all pitches, works both sides of plate, fastball at 77-81 mph, run, high three-quarters release, change-up works to bottom of zone, 70-72 mph, sink, 11-to-5 shaped curveball, late/sharp break. repeatable delivery, smooth rhythm, arm works with repeatable release point.

Shanks is a 6-foot-4 185-pound right-hand pitcher, max fastball at 71 mph, works at 64-69 mph, over-the-top release, stays in-line towards target, athletic finish.
David Shepherd, RHP, Fort Zumwalt South, 2016
Shepherd is an athletically built 6-foot 170-pound right-hand pitcher, throws with regular effort and body control throughout delivery, over-the-top arm slot, loose arm action, stays in-line and downhill down the mound, works fastball at 75-78 mph, consistent down in the zone, change-up at 67-70 mph, arm-side release, near fastball arm speed, curveball at 63-62 mph, 12-to-6 shape, late action.
Lucas Zurliene, LHP, Pacific, 2016
Zurliene is a wide-shouldered 6-foot 155-pound left-hand pitcher, high three-quarters release, easy effort, works downhill and in-line to target, fastball at 77-79 mph, run away from LHH, change-up at 68-71, fastball arm speed, good pitch with sink, curveball at 61-64 mph, 1-to-7 shape, late action, works mostly in to LHH.
