Olentangy Liberty's Mitchell Griffiths is coming off a strong performance at the Unsigned Senior Games in August.

The 6-foot-2, 180-pound right-handed pitcher sat 83-85 mph with command of a 67-69 mph breaking ball.

"I have received a lot of attention lately, seems like more coaches have called me then ever before. It's enjoyable; however quite stressful," he said.

Now, with the search process ahead of him, Griffiths is trying to determine the best fit for the next four years of his life.

"I don't really know what level I am going to play at yet. I have talked to schools Division I, II, and III programs, and visited and went to prospect camps at all three levels," he said.

Griffiths continued, "I want to find a school that not only can I impact as a freshman but somewhere where I enjoy the campus and can get a good education."

So far, his communication has been most frequent with Ohio Northern, Lake Erie, Otterbein, Tiffin, and Mount Union.

In addition, he has attended camps at Miami and Ball State and plans to attend camp at Valparaiso in October.

"I start my visits starting Sept 14th, so all my relationships are similar with the coaches. They will call and email me to check up on me," he noted.

For now, Griffiths doesn't have a leader. He plans on letting the process play itself out.

"I don't have a leader yet. I'm sure after a few visits that I'll be more clear, but as of now, I still have a long recruiting process left," he concluded.
