Although the regular season has concluced, the Prep Baseball Nevada staff will continue to highlight top performances across the State throughout the postseason with our 'playoff performers' series throughout the 2024 NIAA playoffs. It serves as an opportunity for our staff to highlight players, from across the state, that put up impressive performances during each week of the playoffs.

Our first 'Playoff Performer' of the 2024 postseason goes to 2024 RHP Chase Sorlie who just announced his commitment to Sacramento State this morning. Sorlie pitched a seven-inning, complete-game shutout in Faith Lutheran's 6-0 win over Las Vegas in the first round of the 5A South Region Tournament.

RHP Chase Sorlie has been the go-to arm this season for Faith Lutheran and he turned in another dominant performance to open up the postseason. The Crusaders took on Las Vegas and Sorlie, a recent Sacramento State commit, went the distance while allowing no runs en route to a 6-0 win for Faith Lutheran. While allowing no runs, the right-hander also allowed just three hits while picking up four strikeouts. It's been a dominant run this season for Sorlie and the Crusaders will now take on Coronado this afternoon in the second round of the 5A South Region.
