2012: The Year of Coaching Milestones

Thurs May 17, 2012

By Mike Penn

Earlier this spring I wrote this article about Sam Riggleman, Spring Arbor University, reaching a milestone 900 wins.

Seemingly 2012 has not slowed down providing big milestones across the coaching ranks.  PBR Michigan would like congratulate Comstock Park Head Coach Jim Johnson on collecting his 500th career victory. Coach Johnson has been head coach for twenty-six years at Comstock Park.

Additionally, Scott Theisen reached the a simliar milestone achieving 500 wins at Saline.  Coach Theisen has a career record at Saline of 501-209 giving him a .705 winning percentage. Theisen consistently has his teams competing for championships, year in and year out which is a testament to his players and coaching staff.  Certainly it was a special moment to have Trent, a freshman catcher, on the field with him.

Congratulations to both Coach Theisen and Coach Johnson on your outstanding accomplishments and thank you for your commitment to high school baseball.
