OUTLOOK:  

Coming off a 22-6 season, the Olentangy Braves lost several players to graduation. But, the future is bright with the emergence of several underclassmen that may make this year's squad even more talented than the last. Senior Grant Helber figures to be the ace of the staff coming off a strong junior campaign that included a 3-1 record with a 1.52 ERA. His battery mate, junior catcher Joe McGuiness, returns to man the duties behind the plate and hit in the middle of the order. Meanwhile, the Braves will be young up the middle as sophomores Deeb Haber and Christian McFarland figure to push upperclassmen for playing time. Ultimately, the success of the Braves season will come down to the development of their pitching staff as several seniors will be expected to take on bigger roles this year while youngsters like Luke Porter will get their chance to crack the rotation.
