OUTLOOK:

Expectations are high for the Patriots in 2014. There may not be another team in central Ohio with as strong of a combination of pitching, defense, and offense. Senior Jacob Niggemeyer gives Coach Brenning a dominant ace on the mound, but the staff goes beyond the OSU recruit. Senior Mitchell Griffiths, juniors AJ Kullman and Nick Parr as well as sophomore Mason Groves should all be impact arms in 2014. Junior Cam Comer, who committed to ACC power Virginia this past fall, will play in the field or behind the plate while providing an impact bat. Unsigned senior Dan Kirchner provides speed and athleticism in the outfield while Niggemeyer provides power in the middle of the lineuo.
