2017 Class Participants


Alex Aiuto, RHP, De La Salle, 2017

5-foot-8, 150-pound prospect. High ¾ arm slot with clean mechanics. Fastball sits 68-70 mph, curveball with gradual break at 55-56 mph, and changeup with good sink at 60-63 mph.

Alex Crump, C, Northview HS, 2017

5-foot-8, 140-pound prospect. Good flexibility behind the plate with excellent ability to sway keeping pitches in the strike zone, quick hands and footwork allow for a pop time of 2.11-2.19.  Ran a 4.43 home-to-first. Leg lift with strength in the bat at to the pull side. Bat speed registered at 81 mph.

Cameron Beginin, RHP, Warren De La Salle, 2017

6-foot, 140-pound prospect. Long arm swing with a quick tempo, located pitches well for strikes. Fastball has some arm-side run at 68-69 mph. Changeup with good sink at 59-62 mph.

Chase Coselman, 3B, Fenton HS, 2017

5-foot-10, 175-pound prospect. Soft hands at third base with a short arm action throwing 67 mph across the infield. Ran a 4.57 home-to-first. Toe tap stride in a pull approach with good use of lower half through his swing. Bat speed registered at 84 mph.

Chris Tanderys, C, Livonia Stevenson HS, 2017

5-foot-11, 175-pound prospect. Athletic actions with blocking and receiving skills, pop time of 2.18-2.30. Ran a 4.59 home-to-first. Wide base with good bat path and extension through the zone. Bat speed registered at 83 mph.

CJ Breen, 2B, Livonia Stevenson HS, 2017

6-foot, 175-pound prospect. Good actions with his hands and footwork on the infield, threw 72 mph across the infield. Ran a 4.69 home-to-first. Gets good leverage at the plate with a line drive approach. Bat speed registered at 85 mph.

Connor McCarron, SS, University Liggett, 2017

5-foot-6, 140-pound prospect. Plus actions at shortstop with great hands and footwork, threw 75 mph across the infield. Ran a 4.76 home-to-first. Good plate coverage with a short compact swing. Bat speed registered at  77 mph.

Drew Anstead, 1B/RHP, Chelsea HS, 2017

5-foot-11, 202-pound prospect. High ¾ arm slot with clean mechanics. Fastball was 78-79 mph, 12/6 curveball with decent depth at 61-62 mph, and changeup at 71-74 mph. Good hands and footwork at first base, threw 71 mph across the infield. Ran a 5.00 home-to-first. Loads down with strength in his bat to the pull side at the plate. Bat speed registered at 83 mph.

Dylan Gammons, 3B, Brother Rice, 2017

5-foot-10, 175-pound prospect. Hands work well out in front of body with quick transfers getting rid of the baseball at third base, threw 74 mph across the infield. Ran a 5.11 home-to-first. Strength in his bat at the plate in a pull approach, gets off backside well. Bat speed registered at 83 mph.

Ethan Balogh, OF, Plymouth HS, 2017

5-foot-10, 137-pound prospect. Showed good actions with footwork and glove, threw 77 mph from the outfield with good carry. Narrow base with good bat path in a line drive approach. Bat speed registered at 77 mph.

George Brush, OF, Holland HS, 2017

5-foot-11, 150-pound prospect. Good actions with footwork and glove in the outfield, accurate arm at 66 mph. Ran a 5.19 home-to-first. Open-to-open, toe tap stride with a pull approach in a line drive swing. Bat speed registered at 66 mph.

George Osborne, LHP/OF, Southfield HS, 2017

6-foot, 150-pound prospect. High ¾ arm slot with good leverage from the left side of the mound. Fastball had late movement at 81-82 mph, slurve sat 72-74 mph. Good actions with footwork and glove in the outfield, threw 82 mph. Ran a 4.48 home-to-first. Quick compact swing from the left side of the plate in a pull approach. Bat speed registered at 78 mph.

Hayden Cross, SS/RHP, Haslett HS, 2017

5-foot-7, 135-pound prospect. Good actions with footwork and hands working around baseball well. Threw 72 mph across the infield. Ran a 4.59 home-to-first. Quick hands in a line drive approach to all fields. Bat speed registered at 77 mph.

Jacob Finkbeiner, MIF, Saline HS, 2017

6-foot, 185-pound prospect. Excellent actions with his footwork and glove at shortstop, threw 76 mph across the infield. Ran a 4.62 home-to-first. Plus strength in bat with quick hands in a line drive approach. Bat speed registered at 85 mph.

Jake Hill, RHP, Belleville HS, 2017

6-foot, 215-pound strong bodied prospect. High ¾ arm slot with good body control downhill. Fastball sat 77-78. Curveball was 68-70 with good late movement.

Joe Kuczmanski, OF/RHP, Clarkston HS, 2017

6-foot-1, 190-pound prospect. Low ¾ arm slot with good leverage. Fastball has good arm side run at 75-78 mph, 12/6 curveball at 59-61 mph, and changeup with some sink at 62 mph. Solid glove in outfield with an accurate arm throwing 74 mph. Ran a 4.69 home-to-first. Wide base with good extension with his bat through the zone. Bat speed registered at 82 mph.

Joel Richardson, SS/RHP, 2017

5-foot-11, 146-pound prospect. Over the top arm action with a quick tempo. Fastball had good movement down in the zone at 62-65 mph, 12/6 curveball with gradual break at 56 mph. Quick feet and soft hands at shortstop, threw 61 mph across the infield. Ran a 4.82 home-to-first. Narrow base stance, creates good back spin on the baseball in a line drive approach. Bat speed registered at 71 mph.

Joey Hiser, OF/RHP, Dexter HS, 2017

5-foot-11, 160-pound prospect. High ¾ arm slot with clean mechanics. Fastball sits 72-75 mph and changeup 61-64 mph. Good feel in the outfield with footwork and glove, threw 78 mph. Ran a 4.33 home-to-first. Good setup from the left side of the plate with good rhythm in a pull approach. Bat speed registered at 77 mph.

Kellan Huang, RHP/SS, Saline HS, 2017

5-foot-9, 165-pound prospect. ¾ arm slot with good movement on pitches. Fastball had good arm side run at 79-80 mph and 12/6 curveball with good depth at 65-68 mph. Quick hands and footwork at shortstop, threw 69 mph across the infield. Ran a 4.86 home-to-first. Quick strong hands with a pull approach at the plate. Bat speed registered at 85 mph.

Logan Sharp, RHP/1B, Greenville HS, 2017

5-foot-11, 190-pound prospect. High ¾ quick arm slot. Fastball has some arm side run at 77-78 mph. 12/6 curveball with depth at 66-69 mph. Good actions at first base with footwork and glove, threw 80 mph across the infield. Wide base with good separation in a line drive approach. Bat speed registered at 86 mph.

Matt Houle, C, U of D Jesuit, 2017

5-foot-10, 180-pound prospect. Good ability to sway and stick pitches and quick to block pitches behind the plate. Quick feet and hands allow for a pop time of 2.15-2.31. Open to even stance with short compact swing, excellent ability to drive the ball to the opposite field. Bat speed registered at 86 mph.

Michael Marsee, SS, Stevenson HS, 2017

6-foot, 158-pound prospect. Exceptional hands and footwork with good length in his range. Threw 73 mph across the infield. Ran a 4.68 home-to-first. Quick hands and good separation at the plate with good plate coverage. Bat speed registered at 75 mph.

Noah Bloye, OF/1B, Bryon Center HS, 2017

6-foot, 155-pound prospect. Great feel with footwork and glove good carry at 81 mph. Ran a 4.44 home to first. Quick loose hands with a good bat path at the plate. Bat speed registered at 84 mph.

Santos Guzman, SS/RHP, Bishop Foley, 2017

5-foot-10, 155-pound prospect. ¾ arm slot with easy action. Fastball sat 72-73 mph, curveball is a good out pitch at 67-68 mph, and changeup at 67 mph. Good actions with glove at shortstop, threw 74 mph across the infield, Ran a 4.78 home-to-first. Quick hands with good plate discipline. Bat speed registered at 77 mph.

Steve Mann, OF, Country Day HS, 2017

5-foot-11, 185-pound prospect. Exceptional athletic ability in the outfield with his hands, footwork, and arm strength, threw 83 mph. Ran a 4.06 home-to-first. Ball jumps off his bat, big time strength in an approach to all fields. Bat speed registered at 94 mph.

Tommy Alkema, SS, East Grand Rapids HS, 2017

5-foot-9, 143-pound prospect. Soft hands and good footwork at shortstop, threw 72 mph across the infield. Ran a 4.55 home-to-first. Wide base with no stride, good extension through the baseball in a pull approach. Bat speed registered at 76 mph.

Zach Schwartzenberger, OF, Saline HS, 2017

5-foot-10, 165-pound prospect. Quick twitch athletic outfielder with accurate arm at 80 mph. Ran a 4.51 home-to-first. Switch hitter, from the right side has quick hands in a line drive approach. From the left side creates good rhythm in a pull approach. Bat speed registered 76 mph from the right side and 82 mph from the left side.


2018 Class Participants


Cole Daniels, 1B/LHP, Saline HS, 2018

5-foot-11, 190-pound prospect. ¾ arm slot with good leverage on his pitches from the left side. Fastball has good sink at 79-81 mph and 12/6 curveball with good depth at 65-67 mph. Good hands and footwork at first base, threw 74 mph across the infield. Open-to-close stance from the left side, short compact swing. Bat speed registered at 83 mph.

Justin Charron, C, Woodhaven HS, 2018

5-foot-9, 160-pound prospect. Good receiving skills behind the plate with quick reaction blocking pitches. Pop time of 2.25-2.37. Ran a 4.90 home-to-first. Quick hands in a line drive approach, swing can get long on pitches away. Bat speed registered at 77 mph.

Noah Fiehn, RHP/3B, Lutheran North HS, 2018

5-foot-11, 150-pound prospect. Good mechanics on the mound with leverage down the slope. Fastball was 74-76 mph, curveball 65 mph. Plus actions with footwork and glove at third base, threw 68 mph across the infield. Ball jumps off his bat at the plate, gap-to-gap approach with a great bat path through the zone. Bat speed registered at 82 mph.

Tommy Blitchok C, Grandville HS, 2018

6-foot, 180-pound big strong young prospect. Big frame behind the plate with plus receiving skills, flexibility will increase with maturity. Quick hands on transfers allow him a pop time of 2.29-2.36. Ran a 4.75 home-to-first.  Quite compact swing at the plate, shows a good approach to all fields with some pull power potential. Bat speed registered at 85. High ceiling for this 2018 prospect make him a strong follow who hasn’t played high school baseball at this point.
