With the 2016 spring season right around the corner, PBR Indiana is eagerly anticipating bringing the best high school baseball coverage throughout the entire state.

Throughout March we will be releasing team previews for teams across the state, leading into our Preseason All-State Teams and Preseason Team Rankings.

2016 SPRING TEAM PREVIEW: Covenant Christian Warriors

2015 Record: 10-12-3
Conference (2015 Record): Independent 
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 3/2

2016 Team Strengths:

• Leadership 

Top Returning Players:

• Eric Murphy, 3B/RHP, 6'0" 175, R/R, 3-year starter
• Zach Tejchma (pictured right), OF/RHP, 5'10" 180, R/R, 2-year starter, committed to Franklin College
• Matt Murphy, 3B/1B/P, 6'4", 185, R/R, 2-year starter

2017's: 

• Reid Replogle UT/RHP, 5'7" 150, R/R

Top Underclassmen:

• Jackson Prather, OF/P, 5'8" 155, R/R
• Jake Brackett, SS/P, 5'5" 140, R/R

Outlook:  The Warriors will be a young, inexperienced team in 2016, but according to Coach Gossel have great leadership.  It's a scrappy group of players that will look to compete at the 2A level by the end of the season when they head into a new, deeper sectional pool than they have in year's past.
