2016 SPRING TEAM PREVIEW: Oak Hill Golden Eagles

2016 Team Strengths:

Top Returning Players:

• Spencer Ballinger OF, 2018: 6' 4"/185 lbs, R/R, 1st team all-state 2A as a freshman in 2015 (11 2B, 1 3B, 6 HR, 31 RBI, .436 BA, .743 slg. %)
• Tyler Fairchild P, 2016: 6'3"/205 lbs, R/R, signed to U. of S. Carolina at Aiken, returning from Tommy John in April 2014, (in 2015: 3-1, 22.2 IP, 25 K)
• Bradon Nelson SS, 2017: 5' 11"/185 lbs, R/R (.478 BA, 44 H, 6 2B)
• Christian Livingston CF, 2016: 5' 11"/170 lbs, R/R (.360 BA, 30 R, 10 2B, 10 SB)

Outlook:  There is lots of optimism at Oak Hill this spring.  Coach Edwards returns several major contributors from 2015 including 11 letter-men, five of which are multi-year starters.  Last season the Golden Eagles set a team record for batting average (.347) and posted the fifth best fielding percentage in team history (.937).  Oak Hill should compete for both a conference and sectional title this season.
