2018 OUTLOOK
"We lost 4 offensive starters and we need to not only replace their offensive productivity but also improve upon it.  Statistically, we had a down year offensively.  We need to improve on this if we want to compete with the top teams in our league but also our area of the state.  Our schedule starts off very tough with Western Dubuque and West Delaware and Decorah is our first conference game so we will see 3 teams ranked in the top 5 of their respective classes in the first week and a half.  I think we will have some pitching depth so that should keep us in just about every game we will play in but we will need to keep improving throughout the season because our area looks to be very tough come playoff time, especially with Clear Lake coming back to 3A.  We should have every opportunity to improve with our schedule being the toughest we've had since I've been at WSR."
