2019 PBR South Carolina POY - Trotter Harlan

The 2019 spring high school season in South Carolina generated some incredible individual moments and performances throughout all corners of the state. As the spring high school season comes to a close, Prep Baseball Report is excited to announce one player who emerged ahead of the competition at all levels in the state of South Carolina. This player has been selected not only for their outstanding statistical numbers, but also for their overall effect on their high school program.

~ Trotter Harlan (SS/RHP, Hillcrest HS, 2019) ~

Trotter Harlan's all-around performance, as well as the impact he has had on Hillcrest High School, has earned him the 2019 Prep Baseball Report South Carolina Player of the Year honors.

Harlan led Hillcrest to a 19-7 record and a birth in the 5A District finals.  He was selected to the North Select Team as well as earning Gatorade Player of the Year honors. Harlan held a 4.53 GPA and has signed with The College of Charleston. He batted .565 on the season with a .604 on base percentage, he belted 10 home runs, had 33 RBI and stole 29 bases. As a prominent two-way player, Harlan compiled a 4-3 record with 3 saves, a 1.76 ERA and struck out 53 batters in 47.2 innings pitched.

Trotter Harlan has been selected by the staff of Prep Baseball Report of South Carolina.  The team of PBR area scouts who covered the high school baseball season throughout the spring selected Harlan amongst a strong group of candidates from across the state. The Prep Baseball Report staff has been diligently scouting and covering baseball games at baseball diamonds across the state this spring to bring parents, athletes and fans the most comprehensive coverage of amateur baseball across the United States.
