Top Prospects

Brian Keeney C / 2B / Roncalli, IN / 2019

5-foot-9, 160 pound catcher displayed a strong arm and quick release in pop times.  Throws topped 77 with accuracy . Quick feet, short arm swing into 3/4 release.  Pop times ranged 1.90-1.97.  Field commander behind the plate. Hits from a balanced setup and smooth load.  Has rhythm.  Above average use of lower half, spins at times.  Contact hitter, uses all fields.  High exit velocity of 85mph.  

Luke Godfrey C / 1B / Guerin Catholic, IN / 2019

6-foot-2, 205 pound catcher displayed quick actions behind plate and a strong arm.  Pop times ranged between 1.90-1.94. Short, quick arm action.  Throws topped 80 with some accuracy.   Thick lower half. Hits from a balanced, athletic setup.  Short stride, long bat path.  Fast barrel turn.  High exit velocity of 92mph.  

Tyler Kapust C / 3B / Silver Creek, IN / 2019

5-foot-10, 175 pound catcher showcased pop times between 2.00-2.05.  Above average arm strength and quick release.  Throws topped 75mph from crouch.  Footwork is fluid.  Short arm swing with high 3/4 slot. Throws were consistently on the bag.  Offensively, Kapust has a wide setup with fluid hand load.  Front foot comes back to squared in stride.  Slightly uphill path to contact with quick barrel turn.  Line drive approach, potential power if he continues to get stronger.  High exit velocity of 85mph.

Ryan Glithero C / Whiteland, IN / 2019

5-foot-10, 170 pound right-handed hitter has a balanced setup, slight crouch.  Big gathering, including a toe tap into long stride.  Long, level bat path.  Average bat speed.  Uses all fields.  High exit velocity of 82.  Defensively, he has a quick transfer into release.  Average, long footwork.  Throws topped 70 from the crouch.  Pop times ranged between 2.19-2.33.

Ryan Nastav C / RHP / Lebanon, IN / 2019

 6-foot-1, 170 pound catcher has a tall, balanced setup in the box.  Toe tap into short stride.  Minimal hand load.  Average bat speed with an opposite field approach.  High exit velocity of 82mph.  Defensively, pop times registered between 2.09-2.16.  Quick transfer into release.  Short arm swing.  Footwork needs refined.

Liam Patton C / 1B / Warsaw, IN / 2019

 6-foot-3, 190 pound catcher has a big, projectable frame in the batters box.  Hits from a tall, athletic setup.  Fluid hand load with short stride.  Above average bat speed with long path, slightly uphill path.  Creates extension.  Potential power.  Behind the plate, he has a long transfer with slight hitch in arm swing.  Pop times ranged between 2.19-2.25.  Throws topped 69mph from the crouch.  

Noah Wood C / Lutheran, IN / 2019

6-foot, 178 pound catcher has a quick transfer and footwork behind the plate.  Short arm swing, high 3/4 release.  Pop times registered between 1.95-2.02.  Throws topped 71 from the crouch.  Hits from a balanced setup, featuring a leg kick in load.  Average bat speed, level path. Hands have a tendency to drag through the zone.  Opposite field approach.  High exit velocity of 82.
