Blake Davis
State Director

After last weeks release of Prep Baseball Report's High School National 2020 Rankings and this weeks release of the PBR Draft HQ's 2020 Draft Board it is a good time to start highlighting PBR Georgia's 2020 Rankings from 60-1. Today we focus on number 50 all the way to 41, this will be a good list of players and will give all the Georgia baseball fans insight into what games are can't miss this Spring around the State.

50. Tervell Johnson, 3B/C Mays HS, (Georgia Tech)

49. Zachary Murray, RHP, Lanier HS, (LSU)

48. Liam Sullivan, LHP, Marist, (Georgia)

47. Garrett Howe, SS/2B, Hebron Christian, (Samford)

46. Austin Tienda, OF, Seqouyah HS, (Georgia Tech)

45. Xander Stephens, RHP, Parkview HS, (Georgia Tech)

44. Brayden Broome, SS/CF, Ringold HS, (Samford)

Broome seems to get better every time I see him, and at 6-foot-2, 175 pounds, he has an excellent frame and has room to get even stronger. His game is smooth both in the box and defensively. He relies on fluid actions and good rhythm for the game. The bat has really started to come and he does it with an upright stance, with high hands and a leg lift that he picks up and puts down without getting too far out on his front side. The power during batting practice played better than his exit velocity of 86 mph would indicate. He’s an up-the-middle defender who can play both center and shortstop, and plays both with an easy gait and fluid actions. Watching Broome reminds me of a young Jordy Mercer, both in terms of actions, body, and strength at this age. Broome has a chance to make big strides over the next year and is one to keep a close eye on.

43. Josiah Siegel, LHP, Woodstock HS, (Georgia Tech)

42. Trippe Moore, OF, Mary Persons HS, (Georgia)

Georgia Tech commit. Currently ranked No. 34 in GA and No. 459 Overall. 6-foot-1, 175-pound right-handed hitting outfielder, athletically built with some quick twitch muscle. Offensively, takes a wide setup, hands start high loaded back, cocks wrists on load, short stride, remains balanced throughout. Generates hard line drive contact, gap-to-gap type hitter.

41. Dwight Allen, OF, Woodward Academy, (Georgia)

Georgia commit. #44 in GA 2020 rankings. 6-foot-1, 180 pounds; strong frame. Good rhythm in the box, gets to set on time. Aggressive swing, with above average bat speed. Uses lower-half well and gets good rotation with his hips. Squared up a deep SAC fly to CF. Look forward to watching as the weekend progresses.
