DIAMOND NOTES

4.24.23 - 4.30.23

'23 Armand Lettiere (Central Catholic) - The Puget Sound commit continued his excellent senior campaign this past week. In the Rams' first contest of the week, Lettiere cleared the bases with a double in extra innings to give Central Catholic a lead they would not relinquish. The following game, Lettiere showed off his two-way abilities. He hurled four shutout innings, striking out seven while failing to allow a walk. His final line on the bump that day was 4 IP, 7 Ks, 2 H, 0 R. That same game, he provided himself with plenty of insurance, going 2-for-3 with a triple and three RBI. In the Rams' final game of the week, Lettiere recorded another multi-hit performance, going 3-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored. His final offensive line for the week was 6-for-11 with a double, a triple, six RBIs, and four runs scored.

'24 Elijah Breault (Century) - A physical right-handed hitter that has shown his power to our staff in the past, Breault swung a hot bat this week for the Jaguars. Over the course of Century's three games this past week, Breault went 5-for-10 with a HR. He recorded a hit in all three games, including two different multi-hit performances. His offensive showings this week show why he's a corner-infield prospect to follow in the state.

'24 Levi Hazes (Century) - The junior righty was excellent in his lone appearance this week. He put his stamina on display, hurling a whopping eight innings on Wednesday night. He was constantly around the zone, punching out a dozen opposing hitters while not allowing a single walk. His final line on the day was 8 IP, 12 Ks, 6 H, 1 ER.

'24 RHP Hudson Normand (Clackamas) - Normand got to toe-the-rubber on Thursday against Reynolds and was quite literally perfect through four innings of work. He faced the minimum on just 47 pitches, landing 35 of those for strikes. He recorded 10 of his 12 outs via the strikeout. His final line was 4 IP, 10 Ks, 0 H, 0 BB, 0 R. The Cavs' junior right-handed pitcher has been dominant on the mound this season and is still currently uncommitted.

'24 Kayle Pisano (Clackamas) - Pisano has been a mainstay in the heart of the Cavs lineup for the entirety of the season, and this past week was no different. The physical left-handed hitter slugged an extra-base hit in each of Clackamas' three games this past week, and recorded multiple hits in two of those contests. On Tuesday, he went 3-for-3 with four RBI and a pair of doubles. He followed that up by hitting an RBI triple on Thursday, and finished off his week with a bang by going 2-for-3 with a home run and two RBI. His final line for the week was 7-for-9 with three doubles, a triple, a home run, and seven RBI. The 6-foot-3, 220-pound junior is still uncommitted.

'24 Diego Richards (Glencoe)The uncommitted junior has shown well in front of our staff in various events in the past, and was a key contributor atop the Glencoe lineup in all three wins this past week. He reached base seven times during their series against Century, wreaking havoc on the base paths with a pair of stolen bases and three runs scored. He also recorded a hit in each of their victories this week. He finished the week 5-for-12 with three RBI, three runs scored, and two walks.

'24 Reuben Elliston (Grant) - Elliston has swung a hot bat as of late, and he provided plenty of offensive production for the Generals in their three wins this past week. The uncommitted junior finished the week 7-for-12 with three doubles, two home runs, four RBI, and six runs scored.

'25 Jackson Poole (Ida B. Wells) - The sophomore outfielder provided key insurance for the Guardians from the bottom of the lineup this past week. In Friday's rubber match against Roosevelt, Poole went 2-for-3 with three RBI to help the Guardians secure the series win. His final line on the week was 3-for-7 with a double and four RBI.

'24 Griffin Scott (Ida B. Wells) - One of the top uncommitted southpaws in the state's junior class, Scott was absolutely dominant in his lone appearance this week. Scott got to toe-the-rubber last Tuesday against Roosevelt and per usual, starred for the Guardians. He tossed a no-hitter, striking out eight while facing just two more than the minimum. His final line was 7 IP, 8 Ks, 3 BBs, 0 H, 0 R.

'25 Dillon Garg (Jesuit) - Garg has impressed our staff before with his two-way abilities, sporting both a low-80s fastball and a low-90s exit velocity. He contributed on both sides of the ball this past week, going 3-for-5 at the plate with a double, four RBI, and showed off his plate discipline by drawing four walks. On the mound, he impressed as well, allowing just one hit over five innings of work while punching out seven. His final line on the mound was 5 IP, 7 Ks, 2 BB,  1 H, 1 ER

'24 Finley Smith (Lake Oswego) - The left-handed hitter provided excellent production out of the bottom of the order for the Lakers this week in all three of their victories. He recorded a hit in each of the contests this week, including multiple hits on two separate occasions. He finished the week 5-for-8 with a pair of RBI, a pair of runs scored, and a walk.

'24 Ty Sheldon (Liberty) - The right-handed hitting backstop has been a mainstay in the Falcons order during this season, and he proved once again why he is one of the top uncommitted catching prospects in the state. At the plate, Sheldon went 5-for-10 on the week with three of those hits going for extra bases. He put together an excellent offensive showing in the win on Friday, going 4-for-5 with a pair of doubles and five RBI. He also came in to pitch that game, recording the save. Defensively, he held the running game to a minimum, tossing out all four of the attempted base-stealers against him.

'25 Gabriel Coltman (Lincoln) - Coltman is one of the top outfielders in the state's sophomore class, and showed why that is this past week. A physical presence in the right-handed box, Coltman has impressed out staff with triple digit exit velocities in the past. He has been a key contributor in the heart of the Cardinals' lineup all season, and that remained true in four wins this past week. Coltman went 5-for-13 with five RBI and a pair of runs scored over the course of the week. He played the role of run producer in the second game of the week, recording three hits and three RBI.

'24 Mitchell Taylor (McMinnville) - The junior had himself a huge week offensively, playing a key role in the Grizzlies three-game sweep of Newberg. In the first matchup on Monday, Taylor recorded a single and three RBI.  In the following game on Wednesday, he went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI. He finished the week 4-for-12 with a pair of doubles and four RBI.

Rutigliano has performed well in our past looks, and that remained the same this past week. The right-handed hitter went 6-for-11 on the week with a double, a triple, and four RBI. He has been a key contributor for the Black Tornado all season as they enter May with a 14-3-1 record.

'25 Wyatt Minto (Oregon City) - The sophomore provided several bright spots for the Pioneers this past week, putting up a .333 average with a pair of extra base hits and a run scored. One of the top middle infield prospects in the state's 2025 class, Minto showed just why with silky smooth defense this past week. He also hopped on the mound and recorded four strikeouts in two scoreless innings of work.

'24 Caden Richardson (Pleasant Hills) - The uncommitted junior did it all for Pleasant Hill on Tuesday, recording a pair of hits from the leadoff spot and tossing a complete game on the mound. '25 Kobe Sparks (Sandy) - The left-handed hitting sophomore was an absolute spark plug (no pun intended) this past week for Sandy. He went 6-for-11 on the week, and made sure to get plenty of cardio in with two of those hits being triples. Sparks caused chaos on the base paths, swiping six bags and scoring eight runs over the course of the week. His week was highlighted by a four hit, five steal performance this past Friday.

'23 Carson Waples (Silverton) - The Mt. Hood commit continued his spectacular senior campaign while getting to toe-the-rubber against a potent West Albany offense. He finished the week slashing .555/.635/1.282 with a double and five RBI.

'23 Braedy Vogt (South Salem) - Vogt was another run producer in the heart of the Saxons' lineup this past week. He followed that up by going 2-for-3 with a double in the next game. In the series finale against Churchill, Saunders went 2-for-4 with four RBI and two runs scored. He also got to toe-the-rubber that game, allowing just one run on three hits over four innings of work. His final offensive line for the week was 6-for-11 with a pair of doubles, a pair of walks, and six RBI. His final pitching line for the week was 4 IP, 4 Ks, 3 H, 1 BB, 1 ER.

'24 Luke Fulkerson (Tigard) - The uncommitted junior is one of the top southpaws in the state's 2024 class and has been absolutely phenomenal on the bump all season long. '24 Kheller Larson (Wilsonville) - The junior provided plenty of production for the Wildcats from the bottom of the order. He recorded a pair of extra base hits this week, showing off the projectable power he has with a home run in the second game of the series. There is plenty to like from the 6-foot, 160-pound middle infielder, especially if his power continues to show in game. He finished the week 3-for-7 with a home run, a double, and two RBI.
