EXCLUSIVE LOOK: All-State Games--All Tournament Team--Infield

The inaugural All-State Games were this week end hosted at Extra Innings of Little Rock and the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. This event had 96 players representing the each region of the state. This week we are going to highlight some of the top performers at each position. Catcher

2016 J. Paul Fullerton, C, Harding Academy

Fullerton is a 6-foot-1 195-pound catcher with a large frame and an average build. He had a strong offensive week end, squaring up balls including a double of the right field wall. In the final game of the week end he proceed the lone run with an RBI in the third inning. Defensively he threw two runners out and threw 1.98 2.0 and 1.93 pop times. Overall Fullerton has advanced catch and throw skills, and is a quality left-handed handed hitter. He should compete early for playing time at Harding University, were he is committed.

 

Corner Infield

2017 Paxton Wallace, CIF, Greenbrier HS

Wallace is a 6-foot-1 205-pound CIF/RHP with a large frame and a physical build. He impressed with offensive game. He registered 98 mph during exit velocity and picked up a couple hits during the game. Defensively he showed soft and hands and fluid footwork around the bag at first base. Overall Wallace is a physical player that has elite bat speed and solid approach at the plate.

2017 Adrian Hannah CIF, Searcy HS

Hannah is a 6-foot-2 205-pound CIF with a large frame and an average build. Offensively he stood out during the games recording three hits on the week end. Defensively Hannah showed improvement from previous times seeing him as he appeared to be more athletic with more fluid footwork and a better exchange. Overall Hannah is a left-handed hitter that has the ability to hit the ball to all fields.

 

Middle Infield

2017 Kolby Reck, MIF, Conway HS

Reck is a 5-foot-10 170-pound middle infielder with an athletic frame and build. Reck impressed with his balanced game. Defensively he played through the baseball with fluid footwork and quick exchange. Offensively he showed the ability to hit the ball to all fields. He starts from an athletic stance, with a smooth load and attacks the baseball with a line drive swing and fast bat speed. Overall Reck is solid defender with an advanced offensive approach.

2018 Pate Fullerton, MIF, Harding Academy

Fullerton is a 5-foot-10 160-pound middle infielder with an athletic frame and build. He impressed with how he flashed the leather. He played through baseball with fluid footwork and a quick exchange. He showed enough arm strength to make all the throws with accuracy. He was part of turning two double plays. Offensively he had a good week end, recording two hits, and drawing a walk. During batting practice he squared up balls on a consistent basis with a line drive swing and fast bat speed. Overall Fullerton is a plus defender with a solid offensive game.
