The Prep Baseball Report is extremely pleased to announce the addition of Jordan Chiero as the new Scouting Director for Ohio.

With the addition of Chiero, current scouting director JD Heilmann will move into the role of scouting supervisor for Ohio and Michigan.

Most recently, Chiero served as an assistant coach at Wright State University. While at Wright State, he helped the Raiders to a runner-up NCAA regional finish in 2015 as well as a Horizon League Conference Tournament Championship.

Prior to his time at Wright State, Chiero was an assistant coach at Otterbein University in Columbus.

In his playing days at NCAA Division II Tiffin, Chiero was a four-year letterman, becoming a two-time All-GLIAC selection as a corner infielder. He held a perfect 1.000 fielding-percentage at first base as a senior.

Chiero ranks Top-10 all-time at Tiffin for most putouts and hits, and also shares single-game records for most home runs (3) and RBI (9).

He played professionally shortly after his time at Tiffin, spending one season with the Taos Blizzard of the Pecos League.

Chiero graduated from Tiffin with a bachelor degree in Business Administration.

His wealth of experience, expertise and connections will help deliver the most comprehensive high school baseball coverage Ohio has seen.
