DIVISION I/II RANKED TEAMS

#1 Grove City (10-1)
 lost 3-0 to Manchester HS (8-0) out of New Jersey. 

#2 Strongsville (8-2) 

#3 Defiance (9-1) beat Toledo Whitmer 7-2. Defiance scored 5 runs in the 5th to erase a 2-0 deficit. Junior Rob Zeigler improved to 3-1 on the season going the distance allowing 1 earned run on 5 hits, while striking out 9 and walking 3.  Zeigler topped out at 89 MPH in the 7th, while consistently sitting around 85-88. Senior Anthony Kidston led the way at the plate 2-4 with a triple, senior Joe Gentile 2-4 with a double, 2 RBI's and junior Joe Keween 2-4 with a triple.

#9 Moeller (10-4) loses a tough 5-4 game to Pope High School out Georgia. Senior John Tanner threw 5 scoreless innings before giving up a 3-run home run. Tanner struck out 10 on the day. Moeller answered the homerun with one run in the top of the 7th on a Brad Macciocchi (WSU recruit) double before giving up two runs in the bottom of the seventh.

#12 Sandusky (9-2) 

#13 Willoughby South (8-2) picked up two more wins on their spring trip with a 10-0 victory over Phoenixville High School (6-2) out of Pennsylvania. Senior Cam Knott pitched his 2nd shutout of the year while striking out 9 batters. Unsigned senior Steven Scaccia went 3 for 4. In their second game, they defeated Columbus St. Charles 13-2.

#14 North Canton Hoover (9-3) beat Massillon Perry (4-4) by a score of 5-3. For Hoover, Joey Jackson had two hits and an RBI and Ryan Sarbaugh had two RBIs.

#15 Hudson (8-0) remained unbeaten with a 12-0 victory over Solon (5-2). Junior Brian Malerick scattered 6 hits and pitched his second shut out of the season to improve to 4-0 on the season. Duncan Moran led the offense with 2 singles and a bases loaded double in Hudson's 8 run third inning. Michael Custer contributed a single, a double and 2 RBI to the cause.

#18 Norwalk (11-1) lost to Willard 7-5. Willard scored 6 runs in the second inning and that's all they needed to hold on to beat Norwalk. Norwalk out hit Willard 10 -7 led by junior Isaac Perry who went 4-4 with a triple and two RBI's.  Willard scattered out their hits and played small ball to beat the Truckers. 

#19 Loveland (10-2) beat Withrow 10-4. 

#20 Toledo Central Catholic (3-1)

#21 St. Xavier (7-2) beat Harrison 13-7. 

#22 Anthony Wayne (7-1)

#23 Olentangy Orange (8-1) 

#24 Canton South (8-3) beat West Branch (5-6) by a score of 4-3. John Strasser hit a two-run double with no outs in the bottom of the seventh to reverse a 3-2 deficit and end the game. D.J. Wilson had two hits for the Wildcats. Kip DeShields drove in two runs for West Branch. Logan Bowles (OSU recruit) picked up the win while striking out 14.

#29 Jonathan Alder (8-3) falls to Zanesville (9-3) by a score of 4-2 in 8 innings. Shane Biles (Kent State recruit) went 2 for 3 with 3 walks, a stolen base, and 2 runs scored.

#1 Keystone (7-3) fell to Hilliard Davidson 10-0.

#2 Lake (8-0-1)

#3 CHCA (9-3) beat Lockland 15-1. 

#4 Carlisle (13-2)

beat Wayne Trace (2-9) 10-0 (5 inn). Senior Tyler McKenny was dominant on the mound going the distance allowing just 2 hits and 0 walks, while striking out 11.

#7 Summit Country Day (12-2) loses to Kentucky Country Day 4-1 and beats Waterford (WI) 12-3. 

#8 New Richmond (13-0) beat Taft 16-2.

#20 Canton Central Catholic (9-1) beat Timken (1-10) by a score of 12-2. For Central Catholic, Shawn Jones had three hits and three RBIs; Todd Locke had two hits and four RBIs; Anthony Paone had two hits and two RBIs. Nick Harvey had two RBIs for Timken.

#21 Ottawa-Glandorf (10-3) beat Liberty-Benton (9-3) 4-3.

NON-RANKED TEAMS

Wauseon (7-3) beat Patrick Henry (5-6) 12-4. Junior pitcher Jake Trejo went the distance on the mound, allowing 4 runs on 7 hits while striking out 7. Trejo also had a single, double, triple and 5 RBI at the plate. Sophomore Ty Suntken had 3 singles and 2 RBI. Sophmore Axel Bueter had 2 singles and a double. Sophomore Kollin Spence had a single and double for Patrick Henry.

Edon (7-5) beat Hilltop (3-8) 10-0 (6 inn). Keegan Long struck out 17 of the potential 18 outs, while allowing only 1 hit.

Ravenna (5-0) beat Streetsboro (2-5) by a score of 1-0 in a pitchers' duel. 

The Tallmadge Blue Devils (6-5, 5-1) lost for the first time in league play as the Green Bulldogs (4-6, 3-3) earned a split in the series winning 5-2 at Tallmadge.  Senior Scott Martin got the win for Green scattering four hits over six and two thirds innings.  Senior Bryce Miller got the final out of the game recording a strikeout after the Blue Devils had scored a run and had the bases loaded in the bottom of the seventh. Senior Tucker Linder (2-1) of Tallmadge suffered his first loss of the season giving up five runs on seven hits through four innings.  Green was led offensively by senior Evan Steel who had a two run HR and a single.  Senior Mark Zimmerman added two singles and junior Ronny Brant had two singles for Green. Linder was 2 for 3 with two singles and an RBI for Tallmadge. 

Mariemont beat Shroder 17-4.

Oak Hills beat Plymouth Salem (MI) 5-0.

Milford beat Plymouth Salem (MI) 10-0.

Archbold (7-4) beat Delta (4-8) 10-7. Sophomore Tyson Schnitkey picked up the win.

Ayersville (8-3) beat Edgerton (2-7) 4-2.

Hicksville (5-7) beat Holgate (7-4) 8-2. Senior Justin Miller went the distance striking out 7. Miller also had 2 singles and a double.

Stryker (4-5) beat Pettisville (5-6) 7-6.

North Central (10-1) beat Fayette 12-2.

Montpelier (3-5) beat Swanton (0-7) 6-5 (8 inn).

Paulding (1-7) beat Delphos Jefferson 7-6.

Canton McKinley (5-3) beat Uniontown Lake (4-4) by a score of 6-3. For McKinley, Eric Glover-Williams had three hits, three runs and two RBIs; Romero Harris had three hits. For Lake, Damian Maglione had three hits.

Alliance (6-2) beat Louisville 11-4. Hunter Cannon, Zack Wys and Jared Grimes had two hits each for Alliance. Jon Crank and Pavin Parks had two hits each for Louisville.

Sandy Valley (8-3) beat Malvern 16-2. Zach Schlimm had four hits and two RBIs; Jake Kail had two hits and five RBIs; Caleb Deford had two hits and two RBIs for the Cardinals.
