DIVISION I RANKED TEAM SCORES

No. 1 Ashland (14-0) raise their record to 14-0 last night with a 10-3 win against Mansfield Madison. Northern Kentucky recruit Aric Harris went to 4-0 on the season with 6 innings of 2 hit, 1 run baseball while striking out 10. Harris, Adam Schaly, Derek Ward, Zach Bernhard and Tyson Vogel all had 2 hits. Ward had a double with 4 RBI and Vogel had 2 doubles with 2 RBI.

No. 2 Grove City (13-1) beat Newark 16-5 in 5 innings. Junior lefty Kyle Bennett is now 3-0 on the mound after collecting 7 strikeouts in 4 innings. Junior Drew Artrip led the way with 3 hits. Drew Nankivell, Tyler Kent, Nick Mara and Mitchell Stephens added 2 hits apiece. Dan Cronin added a base clearing double with the bases loaded.

No. 5 Hudson (12-1) falls to Cuyahoga Falls (7-7) by a score of 6-5. Cuyahoga Falls scored 3 runs in the sixth inning and 3 runs in the seventh inning to hand Hudson their first loss of the season. Drew Gardner drove in the tying runs in the top of the seventh with a double to leftfield and Kody Meade scored Gardner with a two out single to give Falls the win.

At the plate, Zac was 1-for-2 with 2 RBI and junior Kyle Fisher also had 2 RBI that proved to be the game winners in the 6th. Senior Jake Burns scored 2 runs while junior Sully Minner had a double.

No. 5 Carlisle (16-2) beat No. 9 Middletown Madison 3-2. Sophomore Andrew Goodpaster pitched a complete game allowing 4 hits while striking out 5. He was also 2 for 3 at the plate.

No. 2 Hopewell Loudon (14-1) beat Kalida (8-4) by a score of 8-4. Unsigned senior Logan Sendelbach had another solid outing for the Chieftains,consistently throwing in the mid-80s topping out at 88. Sendelbach, who came in only allowing 5 hits on the season in 25 innings, allowed 5 in the contest, 4 straight in the 3rd inning when the Wildcats scored 3 unearned runs, extending his streak to 30 innings not allowing an earned run. Sendelbach struck out 9 in 5 innings, giving him 49 punch outs on the season. The righty walked 3.

Juniors Mitch McNabb (6 innings) and Ross Etgen (1 inning) pitched for Ready. In the top of the 7th inning, Lucas Glover had a double and Chris Brake had a triple for the St. Charles Cardinals.

Licking Heights (13-1) beat Grandview 19-1. 

Manchester beat Tuslaw (11-4) 5-3. 

Copley (10-3) beat Cloverleaf 12-2.

Edgewood (11-4) beat Brookfield 3-2. 

Clearview (7-4) defeated Columbia (6-2) by a score of 8-7. Armando Torres went 3 for 5 with a solo home run, and Chad Anderson went 2 for 4 with a 2 RBI double in the Clippers victory. Robert Branscum earned the win on the mound, improving to 4-0 on the season.

Waynesville (10-6) beats Southeastern beats Southeastern 3-1. Wyatt Myers out duels Jordan Hitt to earn the win on the mound. Ty Black was 2 for 3 and Connor Combs was 1 for 3. 

Wooster beats Lexington 4-2. Senior Devin Docketry went the distance limiting Lexington to five hits. He struck out six and walked three. Sophomore Brody Basilone suffered the defeat giving up four runs of which three were unearned. 

Kings beat Walnut Hills 13-1.

Edgewood beat Winton Woods 2-1.

Turpin beat Glen Este 8-3.

Mariemont beat Indian Hill 9-3.

Reading beat Wyoming 4-3.

Bethel-Tate beat Williamsburg 9-2.

LaSalle beat Fenwick 4-3.

Alter beat Bacon 1-0.

Sycamore beat Princeton 10-2.

Middletown beat Hamilton 7-6. 

Mooney beat Marlington 7-4. Shawn Kirk had three singles and drove in a run for the Dukes.

Green (9-6) beat Wadsworth 8-0. Green’s Evan Keeslar was 3-4 with a double, home run and four RBIs. Bryce Miller was 3-for-4 with a double and triple and Evan Steel was 2-for-4 with an RBI for the Bulldogs. Green head coach Jon Wallace picked up his 200th career victory.

Xenia (7-7) beat Springfield (7-8) 11-7. 

Oregon Clay (3-6) beat Fremont Ross (9-5) by a score of 4-3. Ross Achter, a University of Toledo commit, broke a 3-3 tie with a two-out RBI single in the top of the 7th. Jordan Grosjean, a 6-3 junior who has verbally committed to Central Michigan, allowed 8 hits, with all 3 Fremont Ross runs unearned. The right-hander, who wears size 16 shoes, topped out at 89, throwing his fastball consistently in the mid-80s. Tyler Wolf, a junior, also went the distance in a losing cause, giving up 4 runs on 6 hits and 5 walks while fanning 4. Wolf's fastball reached 86, consistently between 80-83. Wolf also add 3 hits.

Toledo St. Francis (8-3) topped Toledo Whitmer (7-8) 3-0.

Lorain (7-3) beat Cleveland Heights (4-8) 12-0.
