April 25 Daily Game Roundup



No. 1 Liberty 15       St. Joseph Central 8: Liberty hit and ran their way to a win Wednesday afternoon against St. Joe Central. Liberty had fifteen hits and stole an astonishing thirteen bases. Wes Jones went two for five with an RBI, three runs scored, and five stolen bases.  Nathan Volkman stole four bases and came around to score three times and Nick Hertzog stole two bases and scored twice.  Nathan Winfrey, Taylor Harman, and Andy Reith each collected two hits: Winfrey with two doubles, Harmon a single and double with two RBIs, and Reith driving in three runs.

No. 13 Parkway South 3     Marquette 2: In a Suburban Conference West game, Danny Holst had three hits and Michael Patterson threw a complete game, allowing one earned run and scattering six hits leading Parkway South to the win.

No. 15 Crystal City 9 West County 0: SEMO commit Alex Winkleman continues his dominant senior season, with a three hit, eleven strikeout effort. Winkleman now has seventy-four strikeouts on the season. Winkleman also had three hits and scored two runs.  Troy Shepard had a two for three afternoon with a double and three RBIs.

No. 16 Logan-Rogersville 11        Mountain Grove 1: Logan-Rogersville won their fourteenth consecutive game behind Joe Young’s five RBI afternoon.

No. 17 Chaffee 4 Oak Ridge 2 

No. 18 Francis Howell 9    Washington 8: Kyle Nuetzel went two for two with a homerun and two RBIs. Calvin Munson, Kyle Nelson, and Jake Hellweg each had two hits for Howell.

No. 19 Eureka 11     Cedar Hill 2: Aaron Schnurbush homered for the second consecutive game, and doubled twice driving in two runs leading Eureka over Cedar Hill. Austin Tinsley threw a compete game, scattering eleven hits while allowing only one earned run.

No. 20 Blue Springs South 6 Raymore-Peculiar 11 

No. 21 Cooter 10     Holcomb 1: Jordan Anderson’s six innings of one hit ball combined with a big eight run third inning led Cooter to a win and championship in the Tri-County Tournament

Raytown South 11   Park Hills South 3: Bralin Jackson had a single, two doubles, a triple and two RBIs while Justin Chigbogu smashed his eighth homerun of the season leading Raytown South to the win.

Blue Springs 7         Lee’s Summit 3: Kyle Reed and Corbin Hare each drove in two runs and Matt Morrison, David Stober, and Nick Dorman each had two hits.

Glendale 8     Jefferson City 7: Glendale pulled out the win on a walk off two out, two RBI single by Aaron Bates.  Evan Payne went three for four with an RBI and Josh Bunselmeyer went two for four with three RBIs to lead the offense.

Lee's Summit North 12 Ft. Osage 10: Lee's Summit North out slugged Ft. Osage. Jordan Rice hit for the cycle and drove in six runs to lead the North offense.
