DIVISION I/II RANKED TEAMS

#1 Grove City (8-0)
 beat North Laurel (KY) 2-0. Junior Kyle Bennett threw a complete game 2-hitter with 4 strikeouts. Unsigned senior Tyler Kent, who is hitting .518 on the year, hit a single and RBI triple. Sophomore Tyler Cowles added 2 hits as well.

#5 Centerville (9-1)

#6 Walsh Jesuit (7-1) beat Benedictine 6-2 as Michael Marsinek (Eastern Michigan recruit) pitches six innings to improve to 4-0 on the year.. He didn't allow an earned run or a walk while striking out 10 batters. Junior Cassidy Brown aided the offense with a double, run, and 2 RBI. Senior Zack Leonatti had 3 singles, a run, and a RBI in the contest.

#7 Mason (9-3) beat Sycamore 29-7. Junior Andrew McDonald picked up the win on the mound and junior Connor McVey was 4 for 4 at the plate. 

#8 Elder (9-3)

#9 Moeller (9-3) beat McNicholas 5-1 and Grosse Pointe (MI) 11-1. 

#10 Mentor (4-0)

#11 St. Ignatius (4-1)

#12 Sandusky (10-1) beat Sandusky St. Mary's 8-1.

#13 Willoughby South (5-1) collected another win on their spring trip with a 12-1 victory over Waterford HS (3-1) out of Wisconsin. Kurtis Moorehead picked up the win going 5 innings while allowing one run on 7 hits and 2 walks while striking out 4. Moorehead, Jake Hall, and Cam Knott all collected two hits a piece. Unsigned senior Steve Scaccia was 3 for 4 with 2 RBI as well.

#28 Gahanna Lincoln (9-2) beat Lancaster 12-2.

#30 Fairfield (10-1) lost to Oak Hills 7-6. 

#31 Glen Oak (4-0)

#32 New Albany (10-1) beat Watkins Memorial 3-2 in a pitcher duel between future conference opponents Wynston McMartin (YSU recruit) and Robbie Sexton (WSU recruit). Both pitched complete games.

#33 Archbishop Hoban (7-2)

#34 Pickerington North (6-2) beat Pickerington Central 4-1 with junior Tyler Pagano picking up the win on the mound.

#35 Avon (8-0) beat Elyria Catholic 4-0. Anders Mahon pitched a complete game while facing the minimum. He improves to 4-0 on the year. 

#36 Findlay (5-1)

#37 Northmont (8-2)

#38 Westerville Central (8-3) falls to cross-town rival Westerville North 8-2. Jake Miller (BG recruit) wins the battle of future MAC pitchers as Connor Sitz (OU recruit) takes the loss. 

#39 Anderson (10-1) beat Walnuts Hills 4-1.

#40 Toledo St. Johns (2-2)

#41 Perrysburg (5-2-2) beat Whitmer 12-11. The Jackets stole 12 bases (school record) and had to rally twice to win by one. Spencer George hit a pinch hit 2 run homerun and Bennett Westfall pitched 2.2 innings of scoreless relief to get the win. Mark Delas had 2 single and a double.

#42 West Holmes (9-0)

#43 Shaker Heights (4-2) lost to Solon (5-1) by a score of 11-6. Solon took the lead in the fifth inning and held on for the victory. Solon scored on a two-run single by Chris D'Amato off Alec Coughlin, plating Danny Sutyak and Aaron Epstein. D'Amato racked up five RBIs on three hits for Solon. After a quick strike from Solon, Shaker Heights HS responded with four runs in the fourth. Shaker Heights HS scored on an inside-the-park grand slam by Jacob Shick. After pushing across one run in the bottom of the sixth, Shaker Heights HS faced just a 7-5 deficit. An RBI single by Michael Blatchford sparked Shaker Heights HS' rally. Pat Vogel ended the inning by getting Coughlin to ground out. Solon added four more runs in the top of the seventh. Jesse Circelli singled, scoring D'Amato to start the inning. That was followed up by Michael Dunn's double, scoring Bryce Littell and Circelli.

#44 Tecumseh (10-2)

#45 Springboro (9-1) beat Fairborn (6-4)  by a score of 4-3. Austin Woodby hit a walk off double in the bottom of the 7th inning. Matt Delbridge pitches 4 and 1/3rd innings of two run baseball for Springboro. Will Thackery earned the win in relief. 

#46 Talawanda (11-2) beat Winton Woods 14-4. 

#47 Chillicothe Unioto (6-1) falls to Westfall 4-3. Alek Stonerock picked up the win.

#48 Delaware Hayes (7-3) fell to Mount Vernon (3-6) by a score of 6-5.

#49 Wapakoneta (8-1)

#50 Bryan (6-1) beat Patrick Henry 4-1. Joe Borland, a 6-2 senior who threw an outstanding game. Borland's velocity reached the mid-80s in his 6 1/3 innings on the hill, allowing 1 run on 6 hits with 4 walks and 5 strikeouts. Kevin Kline was on the mound for the Patriots and the senior was consistently in the upper-80s, topping out at 89 mph. The 6-5, 210-pound Kline gave up 3 earned runs on 7 hits, while striking out 5 batters.

 

DIVISION III/IV RANKED TEAMS

#1 Keystone (6-2) lost to Clearview (3-2) by a score of 8-7 in PAC Conference play. Senior Robert Branscum pitched 5 and 1/3rd innings and had two hits at the plate. Junior Ryan Vargo made his first appearance on the mound this year. He picked up save going the final 1 and 2/3rd innings with 3 strikeouts including the last out with the bases loaded. He also added two RBI at the plate.

#2 Lake (8-0-1)

#3 CHCA (7-1) beat North College Hills 17-1.

#4 Carlisle (12-1) beat Louisville St. Francis DeSales 8-2. Sophomore Andrew Goodpaster pitched a complete game and went 2 for 2 at the plate. Senior Alex Leach (UNOH recruit) was 2 for 4 a double and 2 RBI.

#5 Defiance Tinora (9-1)

#6 Wheelersburg (8-0) beat Minford 13-0. Derek Moore picked up the win. Austin Hall (Dayton recruit) went 2 for 3 with a homerun and 3 RBI.

#7 Summit Country Day (10-0)

#16 Coldwater (7-2) beat Ansonia 13-2. Randal Muhlenkamp lead the offense going 2-3 with 3 runs scored and 2 RBI. Sophomore Brandon Wolters threw all 5 innings giving up 2 runs and 2 hits all in fifth inning. 

#17 Triad (8-2)

#18 Bloom Carroll (7-2) beat Logan Elm 4-3 behind a complete game performance by senior Josh Gabbard (2-0)

#19 Fairview (7-3) lost to Van Wert 9-8.

#20 Canton Central Catholic (6-1)

#21 Ottawa-Glandorf (9-2) beat Wayne Trace 12-1.

#22 St. Clairsville (6-2)

#23 Piketon (8-3)

#24 Seven Hills (7-1) beat New Miami 12-0. Senior right-handed pitcher Ryan Ferrell improves to 3-0 with a shutout that included 14 strikeouts.

#25 Batavia (6-1) beat Fayetteville Perry 17-10. 


NON-RANKED TEAMS

Hamilton beat Princeton 5-4.

Lakota East beat Colerain 9-3. Junior Derek Baker picked up his third win as he struck out 5 batters. Alex Corna, Blake Wilder, and Chris Elam all hit triples in the game.

Lakota West beat Middletown 11-5.

Milford beat Turpin 9-6. Junior Zach Cook went 5 innings while striking out 6 batters and allowing 3 earned runs.

Miller City beat Fort Jennings 11-5.

North Central (9-1) beat Stryker (3-3) 5-4. Jalen Dancer hit a home run for North Central.

Wauseon (5-3) beat Edgerton (2-5) 9-6. Clay Tefft picked up the win. Josh Cales, Collin Bzovi, Austin Tuckerman, and Ty Suntken all collected two hits a piece. Suntken hit a homerun in the contest.

Ayersville (7-2) beat Elida (3-8) 14-6. 

Evergreen (8-2) beat Montpelier 11-1. Senior second baseman Trenton Shindorf continued his hot hitting going 4-4 with a double. Senior Jake VanLoocke had 2 hits and 2 RBI while juniors Matt Brighton and Kevin Denker each had 2 hits. Sophomore Jake Dowling had a bases-loaded double for the Vikings. Dylan Henricks allowed only 3 hits getting the win.

Kalida (4-3) beat Delphos St. John's (5-3) 6-2.

Continental  (5-2) beat Ottoville 3-1.

Delta beat Swanton 22-8.

Spencerville beat Columbus Grove (5-4) 8-7.

Pettisville (4-5) beat Hilltop 13-9.

Toledo St. Francis beat Start 16-8.

Port Clinton (3-5) beat Edison 7-1. Junior Addison Rospert pitched a full game while striking out 13 batters and giving up 3 hits. He also went 2 for 2 at the plate with a single, double, and 2 walks.

New London beat Plymouth 12-6.

Bellefontaine beat Kenton Ridge 4-3. 

Lexington (5-5) beat Willard (4-7) 14-3 in a five inning game. Lexington was led by junior Logan Bastin with three hits and six RBI's. Senior Cody Hostettler, senior Cody Bauer, sophomore Zach Temple, and junior Alex Gerell collected two hits a piece. James Watkins went the distance to pick up the victory.

Kings beat Little Miami 9-2 today. Unsigned senior lefty Ben Glischinski pitched 6 innings as he struck out 6 batters and gave up only 2 hits.

Thomas Worthington (8-2) beat Hilliard Davidson 6-5. Sophomore Nick Pauley is now 4-0 on the mound. Junior Ben Miller had 2 timely singles. Kegan Lanter was 2 for 3 with a single, a double and a RBI.

Lebanon (4-5) beat West Carrollton 18-5. Sophomore Wesley Noble (2-1) goes 5 innings for the win. Tyler Newman went 5-5 with 2 triples and 3 doubles.

Manchester (7-3) beat Fairless (5-5) by a score of 7-4. Manchester got on the board first with a run in the first inning. The Falcons came right back and scored two in the top of the second on a base hit by Derek Kuecher and a bases loaded walk for Austin Matheson. Manchester came right back with a Homerun in the bottom of the third by Evan Griffiths. Manchester added two more in the third. Fairless came back to tie it in the fifth on back to back triples by Mike Durben and Joe Hammel. Manchester answered back with one in the fifth and two in the sixth and held on for the 7-4 win. The loss drops the Falcons record to 5-5 overall and 3-2 in the league. The two teams meet back up on Wednesday at Fairless.

Upper Arlington beat Worthington Kilbourne 3-0. Michael Koltak (OSU recruit) pitched a complete game as he limited Kilbourne to 4 hits. Kilbourne sophomore Jacob Niggemeyer (OSU recruit) also pitched a complete game as he only allowed 3 hits.

Tuslaw (8-3) beat CVCA (4-4) by a score of 4-1.

Oakwood beat Monroe 5-2. Henry Blattner and Trent Jervis both hit homeruns as Pierson Matejovsky pitched a complete game.

Olentangy Liberty (5-4) beat Dublin Jerome (4-4) behind a 3-2 behind a complete game from unsigned senior Kris Popham.

Hilliard Darby (5-6) beat Central Crossing 12-0.

Dublin Coffman (6-4) beat Westland (3-5) by a score of 9-2.

Olentangy beat Marysville 9-5. Unsigned senior Ryan Dubil picked up the win. 

Hamilton Township (7-2) beats Fairfield Union (8-3) by a score of 8-4.

Licking Heights (7-1) beat Berne Union 17-2.

London (8-2) beat Hillsboro (6-6) 15-8.

Utica (9-3) beat Loudonville 10-0.

Worthington Christian (4-1) beat Shekinah Christian (5-4) by a score of 9-3.
