The Arkansas high school season is coming in February, and we're here to cover it. Over the next several weeks, leading up to opening day February 28th, we’ll be putting out our team previews ahead of the 2022 spring season, spotlighting on programs spanning across the different state classifications, leading into a countdown through the official PBR Arkansas Preseason Power 25 Rankings.

We’ve submitted a Preseason Questionnaire to high school head coaches across the entire state. As their responses keep coming in and we’re using the detailed insight they’ve provided in our team-by-team preseason analysis.

Our 2022 preseason coverage continues today.

Dardanelle Sand Lizards Boys Basketball - Dardanelle, AR - SBLive

Team: Dardanelle Sand Lizards
2021 Record: 13-8
Classification: 4A-4
Head Coach: Phil Vega

OUTLOOK

I look forward to this season; we finished conference runner up and District tournament champions last season. Dardanelle returns their top 3 hitters back and their top two pitchers back from last season. Only losing  2 starters; first basemen and left fielder, from the previous season. The sand lizards look forward to the challenge this baseball region brings. Boasting one of the toughest conferences in the 4A classification. Dardanelle has a much tougher schedule to prepare themselves for the conference season.
