The Auburn Eagles broke open a 1-0 game with a nine run second inning and right-hander Keith Reed threw a no-hitter as Auburn defeated the Maroons of George Wythe 15-0 in five innings at Auburn HS.

The Eagles would get on the board immediately as Dylan Akers led off the game with a single and would steal second base. After a walk would put runners on first and second, Akers would then score on a fielders choice giving Auburn a quick 1-0 lead.

After Reed struck out the side in the second, Auburn would break the game open with nine runs in the second. Drew Hill got the first and last RBI of the inning and the last with singles in the frame. Brady Harris would knock in two with a RBI double, and Carter Keith drove in three with an RBI triple in the inning.

Auburn would add two runs i the second with a 2-RBI single from Trevor Miles and then plate three in the fourth with a 2-RBI single from Akers and Keith would get his fourth RBI of the day with a groundout.

Keith Reed was in a groove all day, shutting down the George Wythe lineup using a steady two pitch mix with a big breaking ball to compliment the fastball. Reed struck out 11 of the 15 outs in the game, and his only blemish was two walks.

Auburn improve to 8-0 on the season, Wythe drops to 6-4.
