Fall Scouting Notebook: 2020's

Here are four players from the 2020 class that have stood out in recent weeks. 

Edison Ramos, OF, Colleyville Heritage HS
5-foot-10, 155-pound frame. Lean athletic build with fast-twitch life in his body. Played left field during games and showed good athleticism during pre-game in-and-out. The left-handed hitter was 1-for-4 in Game 1, putting the ball in play all four times. Running times were 4.38, 4.46, 4.5 and 4.7 on the turn.

Yanluis Ortiz, 3B/RHP, Southlake HS
6-foot, 180-pound frame with strong, advanced build for his age. Shows a fluid swing with strength in his hands. He drove a double off the wall in left field then stole third base.

Michael Foreman, 1B, Celina HS
6-foot-3, 200-pound frame. The left-handed hitter shows advanced power for his age. Has a relaxed setup at the plate with high hand position and a slightly open stance. Simple load with a small leg lift. Barrell stays in the zone a long time while creating good bat speed with some lift. In four at-bats he had two walks and two triples, one to deep center field and one to deep right field.

Hunter Marshall, RHP/OF/IF, Keller HS
5-foot-11, 150-pound frame. Wiry strong, lean build. Works from a ¾ slot and has good energy and life in his delivery. His fastball ranged from 79-82 mph, topping out at 83. He threw his slider with good feel 69-71 mph. He showed a quick arm and threw strikes with both his fastball and slider.
