Bayou Preseason ID: Stats Breakdown

The Bayou Preseason ID took place on Saturday January 14^th, at Southland Field in Houma, LA. The open event saw players from all across the state of Louisiana in attendance.

2019 RHP/2B Tom Biggs (West Monroe) had a big day on Saturday, opening eyes at the Bayou Preseason ID. Biggs sat 86-89 mph with heaviness and command of his fastball, as well as, showing arm strength across the infield, and strength in his left-handed swing with present bat speed.

2019 RHP Drew McDaniel (St. Thomas More) could be a fast riser in Louisiana’s 2019 rankings. A lean 6-foot, 150-pound right-hander, McDaniel showed off an athletic delivery, a fastball up to 85 mph, and an advanced ability to spin a breaking ball with depth and bite.

Nicholls State recruit, 2018 OF/SS Mason Turner (Terrebonne) showed off a wide array of tools on Saturday. Turner has an athletic build, showed bat speed in batting practice, and threw 89 mph from the outfield.
