BIG TOURNAMENT WEEKEND IN SOUTHERN NEVADA

LAS VEGAS, NV – Big tournament weekend in Southern Nevada with a host of schools representing five states.  More than fifty teams participating city wide, including high school as well as club teams. Players from each of the present high school classes will be plentiful and PBR Nevada will be on hand.  Some key matchups of local interest:  Palo Verde is set to take on Arbor View at Arbor View, 9 am Saturday morning, while Desert Oasis has a tough doubleheader on Sunday versus Hamilton (AZ) and Brophy Prep (AZ) at 8 am and 1 pm, respectively. 

Palo Verde, the reigning state champions, is led by the likes of Bryce Robison (2019) and Peyton Cole (2019), both Brigham Young commits.  Palo Verde has another notable performer in Nate Bartlett (2019, uncommitted).  Arbor View rosters Arkansas commit, Jesse Pierce (2019), Garrett Cutting (2021, Stanford commit) and Brennan Holligan (2019, College of Southern Nevada commit). Both clubs appear that they could make a long run int he spring.

As the host of the Diamondback Invitational, Desert Oasis has a tall order, playing five games in three days.  The Diamondbacks are powered by California commit, Aaron Roberts (2019), Parker Schmidt (2019, Oregon commit) and Campbell Holt (2019, Southern California commit). They too have a rich stable of capable players in Zac Czerniawski (2019, uncommitted), Savon Battle (2019, uncommitted), and Colby Smith (2020, uncommited) and Jacob Walsh (2021, uncommitted). Desert Oasis has scheduled rigorously this fall in preparation of making a deep run this spring.
