Cangelosi High School Fall League - Week 1
Varsity: SILVER vs. BLACK
Game 1:
BLACK – 2
SILVER – 3
In a back and forth game, Matthew Hunter (Dublin Coffman) threw three solid inning, racking up 4 strikeouts. Alex Spohn (Grove City) collected a double, while Jacob Trent (Houston), Jacob Molina (Delaware Hayes) and Jaxon Snyder (Mt. Vernon) also racked up hits.
Game 2:
SILVER – 4
BLACK – 4
Dalton Planck (Hilliard Bradley) had a big RBI double in the 3rd inning to help the BLACK team take an early lead. Outfielders Luke Barnhart (Grove City) and Spencer Hill (New Albany) each collected an RBI as well. Cade Leach (East Knox) threw 4 scoreless innings for the BLACK team, racking up 5 strikeouts.
Varsity: RED vs. BLUE
Game 1:
BLUE – 1
RED – 1
BLUE team pitchers Camden Baumberger (Olentangy Liberty) and Nicholas Falter (Olentangy Liberty) combined for a no-hitter. Baumberger collected one strikeout in 3.2 innings pitched, while Falter struck out 5 in 3.1 innings of work. Joseph Lewis (Xenia) led the BLUE team with both a single and a double. Jackson Buty (Hilliard Darby), Ryan Mayr (Hilliard Davidson), Evan Thompson (Dublin Coffman), Nick Lingaman (Hilliard Davidson), and Max Petty (Grove City) all collected hits as well. For the RED team, Ethan Hetzel (Dublin Coffman) threw 3 innings, collecting 4 strikeouts; Matthew Lang (Lancaster) threw 3 innings, collecting 2 strikeouts; and Nick Cline (Pickerington North) threw 1 inning, collecting 2 strikeouts.
