Colorado Rising Stars: Quick Hits - Hitters

LaSalle, CO--  On May 24, 2020, PBR Colorado and staff welcomed our Rising Stars of Colorado to a much anticipated showcase and trials.  After months of cancellations due to Covid 19, a talented group of 2024’s and 2025’s safely gathered at BigFoot Turf in LaSalle, CO.  Our post event coverage continues with a look at promising hitters:

+C/3B Ben Krza, (2024, Mullen)  Ben had one of the best rounds of the event.  He found the barrel often and displayed power in the process.  Good Exit Velo at 81.  Long levered and had short stroke.  Showed versatility as INF and C(2.00-2.10) and has the HUSTLE factor.

+RHP/2B Matthew Hansen, (2024,Air Academy)  Repeatable LHH swing with confidence.  Controlled his barrel through the zone.  Had the best Exit Velo of the 2024’s at 90.  Good Athleticism may create a lot of versatility in his positioning.  

+SS/2B Cade Collins, (2024, Dakota Ridge)  Gap to Gap approach with consistent path ball.  81 Exit Velo.  LHH showed repeatable path and smooth follow through. Demonstrated strong skill set.  Good understanding of playing through the ball as INF

+2B Logan Madden, (2024, Ralston Valley)  Developing size and strength.  Logan is a Ball Player!  Demonstrated ability to get inside the ball as a RHH and showed GAP to GAP approach.  Great line drive path with consistent barrel contact. Exit Velo 76. 

+RHP/3B Sean Togher, (2024, Rocky Mountain) Keep your eye on him as 2-Way player. This LHH demonstrated his attacking style with power potential.  His quick hands produced an Exit Velo of 86.  Projectable as corner infielder.  

+C/OF Ian Kersten, (2024, Legend)  Ian had a pop time of 2.10 behind the dish.  As a hitter, he had a lot of squared up balls in BP!  Consistent path with power potential.  Ian had one of the Top Exit Velo of event at 83
