The Uncommitted Spotlight Series continues as we have started the '24 CIF High School baseball season Prep Baseball California is now highlighting some of the top uncommitted class of '25 athletes. The players featured are stellar performers from our 2023 SoCal Uncommitted Games. These JR year players are ones that college coaches and fans should be keeping their eyes on over the coming months.

We invite you to get to know them through the eyes of our Prep Baseball California staff of scouts and the data-backed numbers collected at our events with our partnered companies. All of these systems come together to give a clear picture at what colleges will get when a players steps onto their campus.

Today, we put the spotlight on a SoCal '25 C/1B Jack Quirk from Calabasas High School. With a physical strong build at  6'1 215 lbs frame who shows an intriguing RH offensive profile with potential to stay at C. A RH hitter with strength in his bat path while showing quickness in his hands at 23.7 MPH, 77.3 MPH bat speed while showing torque in the turn with 16.3 G's of rotational acceleration. His batted ball data from Prep Baseball California workouts shows raw power that plays to gap to gap doubles and pullside HR power at its present with a max exit velocity up to 91.3 MPH with a quality average exit velocity at 86.7 MPH and 351' max distance through the middle of the field.  He flashes good actions moving around behind the plate with good glove and solid arm strength (76 MPH C velocity and 1.99-2.08 pop times), while his 77 MPH INF arm velocity and actions will be solid at 1B. His catching potential defensive position profile, intriguing offensive ability from the RH side Quick is a name to follow out of the '25 class for college programs who are looking for offensive upside and potential to play a premium spot defensively.
