PBR: Why did you choose the school you did?

Mazur: I really enjoyed my official visit, I felt a strong connection with all of the coaches and players. I really liked how there was set time for me to get to know the other players on the team.

PBR: What other schools were you considering?

Mazur: UIC, NDSU, Mankato, Gustavus, Augustana, Valparasio.

PBR: Where did the coaching staff first see you? How did your relationship develop with him?

Mazur: Gopher Classic Legion Tournament in Woodbury, After the game I got a call from coach Moorman and from there we were figuring out what dates would work best for an official visit and I felt like there was an instant connection.

PBR: Do you feel relieved now that the process is over and you can just focus on baseball and not deal with everything that goes into picking a school?

Mazur: Yes, I feel very relaxed going into my senior year knowing that I know where I am going to school next year.

PBR: Was there one deciding factor that put your choice over the top?

Mazur: The way I got along with the coaching staff and players. The coaches made me feel very comfortable and at home. The other players were very easy to get along with and I can't wait to get to know them even more next year.

PBR: Who has helped you the most to get to where you are today?

Mazur: My family, they have always been there for me and through this whole process nothing changed. We had many conversations about what a good fit for me was. Also, my high school coaches were a huge help through this process, they helped me develop and become a greater player over the past year.

PBR: What were your expectations about the recruiting process? Was it easy/difficult?

Mazur: I was not sure what to expect through this whole process, it was defiantly exciting but also overwhelming at times with having to narrow down to a smaller list of schools.

PBR: What plans does the coaching staff have in store for you in your freshman season?

Mazur: To be able to help the team out right away, work for a spot to get onto the mound and hopefully I can work my way into the starting rotation.

PBR: What is your most memorable baseball moment to date?

Mazur: Either throwing a 1 hitter against White Bear Lake last year or shutting out Stillwater last year.

PBR: Who is the best player that you have competed against?

Mazur: Max Meyer
