PBR: Why did you choose the school you did?

Rinzel: I chose Mizzou because I loved the school, coaching staff, facilities and the family environment of the program.

PBR: What other schools were you considering?

Rinzel: My top three came down to Mizzou, Vanderbilt, and Xavier.

PBR: Where did the coaching staff first see you? How did your relationship develop with him?

Rinzel: Nashville and Georgia tournaments.  We had phone conversations for a few weeks then I went to visit the school.

PBR: Do you feel relieved now that the process is over and you can just focus on baseball and not deal with everything that goes into picking a school?

Rinzel: Yes.  It is nice to focus on baseball and not worry about the recruiting process.

PBR: Was there one deciding factor that put your choice over the top?

Rinzel: Coaching staff at Mizzou and the culture that coach Bieser has established.

PBR: Who has helped you the most to get to where you are today?

Rinzel: My parents have been the most influential.  Justin Musil, Andy Judkins and everyone at Starters helped me navigate the recruiting process and were instrumental in my training.

PBR: What were your expectations about the recruiting process? Was it easy/difficult?

Rinzel: I wasn’t really sure what to expect.  I would say it was stressful at times but having a good support system helped make it easier.

PBR: What plans does the coaching staff have in store for you in your freshman season?

Rinzel: Arrive on campus, work hard and compete for playing time.

PBR: What is your most memorable baseball moment to date?

Rinzel: My most memorable moments have been the friendships I have made playing with Holy Family Catholic High School, Starters and Canes American club teams.   Our 14AAA team winning state was a highlight of my youth playing days.

PBR: Who is the best player that you have competed against?

Rinzel: This past fall, I had the opportunity to play with and against some of the top competition in the nation of which several will be high MLB draft picks.
