PBR: Why did you choose the school you did?

Schoeberl: I chose the University of Minnesota because the school gave me an opportunity to compete at a high level and get a good education. I connected well with the coaching staff, along with current and future players.

PBR: What other schools were you considering?

Schoeberl: Iowa, North Dakota State, and Creighton

PBR: Where did the coaching staff first see you? How did your relationship develop with him?

Schoeberl: Section playoffs my sophomore season and then at their prospect camp that following summer. I connected with coach Anderson and the staff right away and knew that the tradition they have created there would be a great fit for me.

PBR: Do you feel relieved now that the process is over and you can just focus on baseball and not deal with everything that goes into picking a school?

Schoeberl: I am relieved because it was a stressful, but it was an exciting experience at the same time

PBR: Was there one deciding factor that put your choice over the top?

Schoeberl: The coaching staff was definitely a big part of my decision but the relationship I built with present and future players put Minnesota over the top.

PBR: Who has helped you the most to get to where you are today?

Schoeberl: I can't say one person has helped me necessarily more than anyone else. All the coaches I have had all played an important role, along with teammates who continue to push me.

PBR: What were your expectations about the recruiting process? Was it easy/difficult?

Schoeberl: I didn't know what to expect in the recruiting process, but I'm pleased with how well it worked out for me.

PBR: What plans does the coaching staff have in store for you in your freshman season?

Schoeberl: I think the coaches want to see me work hard and continue to improve. When I do that we will see what I can do to contribute to the team.

PBR: What is your most memorable baseball moment to date?

Schoeberl: To this date, I remember winning the state tournament 10u. I also have a lot of memories recently playing with the Blizzard

PBR: Who is the best player that you have competed against?

Schoeberl: The best players I have competed against are on my Blizzard team; we are always competing and pushing each other
