Daily Game Round up for April 9th



No. 3 Vianney got by Parkway Central 9-6. Leadoff hitter Aaron Bossi led the offense going three for four with two doubles and four runs scored, while Matt Brown drove in four runs on the afternoon.


No. 4 Notre Dame stayed undefeated by knocking off No. 25 Poplar Bluff 6-1. Cody Heisserer stayed hot on the mound, going the distance giving up three hits and fanning eight batters. He also helped himself, going two for four at the plate with an RBI. Chase Simmons led the offense going three for three with two RBIs, Nick Essner also drove in two. Justin Landawee and Jonathon Lynch also collected two RBIs apiece.


No. 5 Springfield Catholic improved to 8-0 defeating Fair Grove by a score of 8-0.  Austin Tribby continues to lead the Catholic squad, going two for three at the plate with a double, two RBIs and a run scored.  Cole Shaugnessy picked up the win, improving his record to 3-0.


No. 6 SLUH beat McCluer 8-1. Willie Floros went three for three with a triple, two RBIs, and two runs scored to lead the offense.  Andrew Clark went four innings surrendering one hit and striking out seven.

 
No. 11 Summit Christian fell from the ranks of the unbeaten, falling to Crest Ridge 6 to 5.  John Siegfried led the Crest Ridge offense going two for four with three RBIS and two runs scored.  Taylor Nagel went two for four with two RBIs.

 
No. 9 Raymore-Pecliar got by Lee’s Summit 3-1. Cort Lesmeister threw a complete game, scattering three hits and allowing one earned run.  ….McKenzie had an RBI and run scored and Jake Scribner picked up an RBI.

 
No. 14 Valle Catholic suffered their first defeat of the season, betting upset by Park Hills Central 4 to 3.

 
No. 15 Westminster beat up on O’Fallon Christian 15 to 5.  Brett Bond smacked two triples and Jordan Smith collected three hits in the win. Elijah Dilday hit a grand slam in the losing effort.

 
No. 17 Parkway South defeated Seckman 7-3. Ty Stahl  picked up the win throwing a complete game one hitter.  Tyler Olmid went two for four with two RBIs and one run scored. Michael Patterson, Jake Brentz, James Cummings, and Eric Kroupa each drove in one run apiece.


No. 19 Francis Howell was victorious against St. Charles West, 11-4. Kyle Nuetzel led the way for the Howell offense, going two for four with homerun, double, five RBIs, and two runs scored.  Calvin Munson drove in two runs, while Zac Perkins, Kyle Nelson, Josh Gwaltney, and Austin Schneider each drove in one run.


No. 20 Kennett beat up on South Pemiscott 13 to 4. Logan Dollins set the pace for the Kennett offense, with a three for four  with a homerun, double, four RBIs and two runs scored. Collin Smith went two for three with two RBIs and one run scored.

 

In other action around the state:

Pacific upended Washingtom 5-2. Andrew David threw a complete game two hitter and struck out six. Kyle Dean, Zeth Boyer, Josh Moore, and Hank Vandaveer each picked up on RBI.

Rogersville beat up on Aurora 11-1. Joe Young smashed a grand slam in the win, and broke the career home run record for Rogersville.

Lee’s Summit North beat North Kansas City 6 to 2. Reed Morton picked up the win on the mound going four innings, allowing one earned run.

Glendale beat Carl Junction 6-4.  Josh Lachnit picked up his third win of the season, while Josh Bunslemeyer picked up the win.

Purdy got by Southwest 4-3. Reese Stevenson fanned thirteen batters en route to the victory.

Ft. Zumwalt North and Parkway West combined for thirty five runs, with Zumwalt North coming out on top by a score of 20 to 15.

Marshfield over Strafford 10 to 4.

St. Dominic beat on DuBourg 7-2.
