Conway High School 8 vs Greenwood High School 3

Conway HS defeated Greenwood HS 8 -3 Friday in game one of the double header at Conway High School. The Wampus Cats received a strong pitching performance from 2018 LHP Jordan Wicks with 4 2/3 innings in relief who picked up the win.

Greenwood started the game off quick with a run in the top of the 1^st, with a leadoff walk and a RBI single by 2015 MIF Tanner Cooper.

Conway gained the lead in the bottom of the 2^nd with a RBI single by 2015 INF Saxton Smith, followed by a RBI single by 2018 OF Parker Gravazzi, to score Smith

Greenwood answers in the top of the 3^rd with two run taking advantage of walks and an error by Conway. Jordan Wicks came in, in relief with the bases loaded. He promptly induced a ground ball that was misplayed that lead to two Bulldogs runs. Wicks recovered quickly striking out the next two hitters to get out of a jam.

Conway scored 1 in the bottom of the 3^rd with a solo home run by 2015 MIF, Jacob Adams.

Conway scored 4 in the 4^th, highlighted by a 2017 MIF, Kolby Reck double and a Grayson Pinket single, both drove in runs.

Conway scored 1 run in the 6^th off a Greenwood passed ball.

8 runs is all weeks needed as he cruised through his night, keeping hitters off balance commanding three pitches for strikes, in the strike zone.

Conway swept the double header winning game 2 with a score of 6-5. Cade Tucker picked up the win 5 innings pitched. He also was 2 for 3 with a 3 run home run.
