Daily Roundup: April 4 Games



Munster 7 #2 Crown Point 3 –Jonathan Azar threw all seven innings limiting Crown Point to just four hits, giving up two earned runs, and striking out six. Alex Skalka had a big day at the plate going 2-2 with a double, three RBI, and two runs scored. Scott Shaner was 2-4 with two RBI, Mike Mueller was 2-4 with a run scored, and Nick Marlow had a hit and drove in a run. 

Avon 9 #5 New Albany 3 – Chandler Sanburn got the win on the mound and Khristian Reynolds led the offense going 4-4 with a double and a homerun. 

#13 Bloomington South 7 Edgewood 3 – Isaac Barrow got his second win of the year throwing five innings allowing two runs and striking out three. Barrow was also 2-4 at the plate with a double and a RBI. Gage Rogers was 2-4 with a double and two runs, Nolan Rogers was 2-3 with a double and a run, and AJ Hartman doubled and drove in two runs. 

Fishers 7 #16 Columbus North 4 – Game Story later today. 

#18 Greensburg 23 Milan 0 ­– Luke Kane threw a five inning perfect game for the Pirates. Every starter had at least one hit in the game and Riley Billieu hit a three run homerun. 

#24 Columbus East 3 #22 Seymour 0 – East got a dominate pitching performance from William Anderson. Anderson went 6.2 innings allowing just one hit, two walks, and striking out five. Jordan Johnson came on to strike out the final batter of the game. Christian Wichman led the offense going 2-3 with a double and two RBI. Sam Claycamp doubled and scored once. 

#23 Hobart 12 Edison 2  - Jake Murchek got the win throwing three innings allowing two runs on four hits and striking out three. Nick Bokun and Tyrus Joseforsky both had big days was the plate. Bokun was 2-3 with a double, homerun, and three RBI and Joseforsky was 3-5 with two doubles, three RBI, and three runs. Brandon Murray was 2-3 with two doubles and a run and Donny Parlock was 2-2 with a RBI and two runs. 

#25 Norwell 14 FW North Side 2 – Norwell had a big third inning scoring 11 runs en route to a five inning victory. Norwell had five homeruns in the game. Josh VanMeter threw all five innings allowing one hit, one earned run, and striking out seven. At the plate he was 2-2 with a double, homerun, three RBI, and three runs. Luke Hunter and Nate Shelton were both 2-3 with a homerun, two RBI, and two runs. Cale Schumm homered and drove in three runs and Spencer Newell homered and drove in three. 

Washington Township 6 Wheeler 0 – Justin Landgrebe got the win on the mound throwing all seven innings allowing three hits and striking out nine. He was also 2-3 at the plate with a double and two runs. Tyler Byerly hit a solo homerun and Jordan Williams drove in two runs in the win. 

Mishawaka Marian 15 New Prairie 1 – Adam Janowiak got the win throwing three innings allowing no runs, two hits, and striking out three. At the plate he was 3-3 with a double, homerun, and three RBI. Luke Gaboury doubled twice and drove in two runs and Brian Mischler had two hits and two RBI. 

New Palestine 13 Triton Central 3 – Corey Lyons got the win throwing four innings allowing two earned runs on two hits while striking out six. Cameron Clark led the offense going 3-4 with a homerun, two RBI, and two runs. Nick Butcher drove in two and scored twice and Connor Swain double and drove in a run. 

Silver Creek 5 Clarksville 2 – Lucas Barnett got the win allowing just one earned run on two hits and striking out ten. 

Covenant Christian 13 Bethesda Christian 3 – Grayson Prather got the win throwing four innings allowing two runs on two hits and striking out six, he also drove in two runs at the plate. Jake LaBounty led the offense going 3-3 with a double, two RBI, and four runs. Caleb Keehner was 2-3 with a double two RBI and two runs. Ethan Law, Peter Gegg, and Cory Uhls each drove in two runs. 

Batesville 9 South Decatur 6 – Austin Westerfeld got the win throwing six innings allowing one run on three hits and striking out five. Conner Schuck was 3-5 with a double, two RBI and two runs, Bryan Hoeing was 3-4 with a double and two runs, and Nick Kirscher was 3-5 with a run. Ben Summers drove in two runs and Wes Mckinney was 2-4 with a RBI. 

Chesterton 8 Bishop Noll 5 – Dallas Milligan was dominant on the mound throwing six hitless innings walking just one and striking out two. Andrew Ralph, Jordan Morandini, and Corey Rusboldt each had two hits, a RBI, and a run scored. Mike Crowley and Tyler Sufana each had a hit and two RBI. 

Portage 13 Griffith 3 – Kevin Jones got the win throwing four innings allowing two earned runs on three hits and striking out seven. Peter Psomadelis led the offense going 2-4 with a triple, three RBI, and two runs scored. Eric Merarch and Tyler Soberg each drove in two runs. Patrick Derr was 1-1 with two RBI and two runs and Christopher Klenk was 2-4 with two runs scored. 

White River Valley 13 South Knox 6 – Ethan Sparks led the offense going 3-4 with two doubles, four RBI, and three runs scored. Trent Carpenter was 2-3 with a RBI and three runs, Hunter Cornelius was 2-4 with a run, and Austin Frye and Preston Miller each drove in two runs. 

Clinton Central 11 Pioneer 0 – Jeff Scott threw five inning no hitter with no walks, three HBPs, and striking out nine to get the win, he also drove in a run and scored three times. Justin Blevens led the offense going 3-3 with three doubles, three RBI, and two runs. 

North Putnam 7 Turkey Run 2 – Beau Green threw all seven innings allowing just two hits and striking out 11 to get the win. Kyler Badten led the offense going 3-4 with a double and two RBI. Michael Herrman was 2-4 with a double and two RBI and Kyler Jeter was 203 with a double and two runs scored. 

Hebron 14 Kankakee Valley 4 – Hebron put up 14 hits in the game scoring in every at bat except their first. Stephen Doelling and Drew Wheeler each had two hits, three RBI, and scored twice. Paul Miskus was 3-3 with two RBI and two runs. Zach Hernandez was 2-3 with a RBI and two runs and Kyle Joyce doubled and drove in three. 

Hanover Central 34 Hammond Science Academy 5 – Hanover scored early and often scoring seven in both the first and the second the 17 in the third in the win. Jesse Wilkening was 5-6 in the game with two doubles, three RBI, and five runs scored. Daniel Balich was 3-5 with a double, four RBI, and four runs. Zac Maciejewski was 3-4 with double doubles, five RBI, and three runs scored. Hanover had nine players with multi-hit games. 

North White 18 Westville 1 – Luke Deiner got the win throwing four innings allowing two hits, one unearned runs and striking out five, he also drove in two runs at the plate. Colin Hileman led the offense going 3-3 with a triple, four RBI, and four runs scored. Kolton Linback was also 3-3 with a solo homerun and three runs. Michael Walked was 3-4 and Dalton Fleck drove in three runs. 

Seeger 24 Bismark (IL) 0 –Seeger put up 19 runs in the first two innings to cruise to a five inning win. Josh Orahood got the win throwing three innings allowing just one hit and striking out seven. Jordan Stover led the offense going 3-5 with a double, triple, three RBI, and two runs. Jake Fell was 3-5 with two RBI and Stephen Schall was 2-3 with three RBI and three runs. 

Frontier 8 West Lafayette 7 – Kyle Mikesell had a two run single in the top of the seventh top put Frontier up for good. 

Central Noble 14 Lakewood 12 – Kevin Kennedy had a big day at the plate going 4-4 with a double, triple, RBI, and four runs scored. Jacob Wagner was 2-3 with a double, homerun, and five RBI. Jacob Collis was 2-3 with three RBI and three runs and Tanner Likes was 3-4 with two RBI. 

North Central (Farmersburg) 10 Owen Valley 3 – Jacob Hauger led the offense going 4-4 with three RBI and a run scored. He also got the win on the mound throwing all seven innings allowing three runs and striking out 10. Austin Kutch was 2-3 with a run scored and Luke Copeland was 2-3 with three runs scored. 

Martinsville 6 Northview 1 – Mason Kutruff for the win throwing six scoreless innings. Martinsville opened up a close game with a four run fifth inning. 

Northeastern 18 Shenandoah 6 – Keesler Fishers led the way offensively going 4-4 with two RBI and three runs. Craig Dingwerth was 2-3 with a double and four RBI. Ben Claywell was 2-2 with a RBI and two runs, Kelsy Kirkland drove in two and scored three times, and Conner Silvers drove in two RBI. 

Wapahani 10 Hagerstown 0 – Jacob Walters got the win throwing all five innings allowing just three hits. Austin White doubled and drove in two, Collin Hoots doubled and drove in three, and Ryan Estep drove in two.
