Illinois Daily Roundup: March 13

As the swing of the spring season gets underway, the uncooperative midwest weather caused some rainouts and cancellations across the state. However, there was still a handful of games that played and we will continue to publish our Daily Roundup with scores from all over the state. In addition to area high school's beginning their seasons, keep an eye out for box scores coming from the third annual Metro East Kickoff Classic, sponsored by PBR, which starts today and runs through Saturday.

Sophomore Landen Looper picks up his first varsity win tossing 2 scoreless innings in the start striking out three. Ethan Lambrigger gets the save. Tyler Safarik set the table early leading the game off with a triple finishing with one run scored. Ryan McCoy picks up an RBI single of his own. Wilmington's Conner Dempsay goes 3-for-4 with an RBI.
