The Griffins were shut out by Plainfield Central starter Justin Divelbiss, who threw seven scoreless innings and allowed only four hits and struck out seven. Divelbiss also recorded a hit, walk, and an RBI in the win.

No. 22 Marist 1 Lincoln-Way Central 0 MORE
Marist pitchers Jack Brannigan (5 IP), John Kubin (1 IP), and Denny Hogan (1 IP) combined to throw a shutout against Lincoln-Way Central. They scored the game's only run in the bottom of the 6th on a base hit from Jason Hodges.
Montini Catholic 5 No. 24 St. Rita 4 MORE
Tied 1-1 headed into the 7th, St. Rita's three-run top half was trounced by a four-run comeback victory for Montini Catholic. St. Rita's starter Diego Koval pitched six innings of one-run ball and allowed just three hits, two walks, and struck out seven before he was removed in the 7th. Montini's starter Benjamin Steiner matched Koval and allowed just one run over six strong innings, too. Errors led to the busy 7th for both sides and Montini came out on top.

Alex Marquardt was credited with the victory for Monticello. He went four innings and allowed one run on one hit and struck out seven. The Sages took the 2-1 lead on a wild pitch in the 5th and that's where things stayed.
Armstrong 0 St. Joseph-Ogden 21 MORE
The Spartans scored in all five frames on Friday, led by a game-high 4 RBIs from Austin Cain, who also recorded three hits. On the mound, Drew Coursey and Crayton Burnett also combined for a four-hit shutout.
Barrington 4 Highland Park 4 MORE
Tyler Acosta and Clark Elliott got things going for Barrington, leading the team with two hits a piece and two runs scored each, including an Acosta homer. Jack Greenwald scored twice for Highland Park and led the team with a couple hits.
Bolingbrook 1 Hinsdale South 11 MORE
Hinsdale South scored four runs in the 3rd to really seal things. South totaled seven hits, two from Frankie Klemm, and got things started quickly from a three-run homer by Bobby O'Donnell in the 1st.

Breese's Max Kampwerth surrendered zero runs on four hits over six and two-thirds innings, striking out seven and walking one. A three-run 5th ultimately capped the Cougars' win.
