Here is a look at some of the scores and highlights from the action around the state yesterday.

Bradley Central 12, Rhea Co 0
Kylar Lynn led Bradley Central by going 3-3 with 3 RBI, including a 2B and a sac fly.  Leadoff hitter, Cameron Still, went 3-4 with 3 runs scored and a double, as well.  Jake Presley, Brandon Thompson, and Gunnar Norwood all had two hits.  Gunnar Norwood and Charlie Hammonds combined for 5 ip, 2 h, 0 r, and 4 k’s on the mound.  Westin Ray went 2-3, recording the only two hits for Rhea County.

Siegel 4, Stewart’s Creek 0
CJ Murray led the Stars by going 2-3 and driving in 2 of their 4 runs.  Jordan Middleton also went 2-3 and Matt McCurry recorded an RBI and a run.  John Ross Langworthy went the distance for Siegel in the shutout, giving up only 2 hits and striking out 5.

Summit 7, Ravenwood 4
Wil Dalton pounded 2 doubles and recorded 2 RBI, 2 runs scored, and a walk in his 2-3 performance on Wednesday night.  Brandon Johns also went 2-3 for the Spartans, driving in 1 run and scoring 2 of his own.  Reed Johnson got the complete-game victory for Summit.  Austin Sisk went 2-3 with 2 2B in Ravenwood’s losing effort.

Covington 8, Ripley 1
Austin Baskin and Curtis Wall led Covington to the Wednesday night victory by producing 2 hits and 3 RBI each.  Cole Howard and Ethan Whitley also had 2 hits and scored a run in the win.  Bo Tyler Smith threw the CG for Covington, getting the win and producing 9 k’s while allowing only 3 hits.

Houston 4, Collierville 1
Offensively, Houston was led by Shane Ptacek and his 1-3, 2 RBI performance.  Cullen Ray and Terrell Tatum also recorded a hit and a run.  Corey Wilson got the win on the mound, while Brandon Maxwell registered the save by throwing the final 2.1 innings without allowing a base runner and striking out 3.

Greeneville 7, Chuckey-Doak 1
Augustus Fraley led the Devils to victory by going 2-3 with 3 RBI in this matchup.  Jordan Idell also had a hit and an RBI, while Tyler Dimon scored 2 runs on his 1 hit and 1 walk.  Idell also got the W on the mound, striking out 3 and allowing 1 run in his 5 innings of work.  Brantley Darnell and Tanner Barkley each had 2 hits in the loss for Chuckey-Doak.

Farragut 6, Powell 5
Farragut completed an impressive comeback on John Painter’s 2 RBI, walk-off single in the bottom of the 7th.  Farragut went into the last inning down 5-1 and strung together a series of good at-bats to grab the win.  Parker Noland and Cole Morgan recorded two hits for Farragut, as well.  Cameron Payne went 2-4 with a HR in the loss for the Panthers.

Rossview 14, Gallatin 8
Collin Baber led the Hawks in their offensive attack by going 3-4 with a grand slam and a walk.  Grey Epps also had 2 RBI and a double, while Cory Eby scored 2 runs and recorded an RBI on his 2 hits.  Brady Harris went 4-4 and Johnny Hernandez hit a HR in Gallatin’s losing effort.

Sevier Co 4, Morristown East 2
Nathan Clabo went 2-3 in the extra-inning win for Morristown East, while Devante Matthews also recorded a hit and an RBI.  Chase Wallace threw all 8 innings and gave up only 3 hits and striking out 9.

Christian Academy of Knoxville 3, Knoxville Catholic 2
Alex Osborne led the Warriors to victory in this rivalry game, as he produced 3 of their 4 hits and drove in 2 of their 3 runs on the night.  Caleb Caldwell had the other RBI for CAK and Preston Burleson threw three innings of scoreless relief to get the win on the mound.  Augustus Fortune went 2-3 in the loss for the Irish.

Grace Christian 5, Meigs County 3
Hayden Coffman, Ryan Medders, and Cody Estep all recorded 2 hits at the plate for Grace Christian.  Nathan Atkinson got the W on the mound, while Hunter Ross recorded the one out save.

Goodpasture 6, Gordonsville 0
Gage Gregory, David Wilson, Cole Carter, and Zachary Wallace all recorded 2 hits and a 2B for Goodpasture in their Wednesday night victory over Gordonsville.  Ryan Lyle threw the complete-game shutout for the Cougars, giving up 8 hits and striking out 1.

Chester County 7, Milan 5
Chester County was led by Jaylan Northern’s 2-3, 2 RBI performance, as well as Trey Beecham’s home run and 3 RBI. Malcolm Tipler also had a hit, 1 RBI, 2 runs scored and closed the game out on the mound.  Mason Holden went 3-4 with 2 RBI and a run scored in Milan’s loss.
