Waubonsie Valley 8, Yorkville 7
Nick Santoro
reached base six times and scored the winning run on a throwing error after doubling with one out in the 13th inning. Quinton Zielke allowed two runs on six hits in seven innings of relief for Waubonsie. Nick Price homered in the victory. Brendon Reifsteck had four hits for Yorkville.

Willowbrook 15, St. Francis 8
Trailing 7-0 after six innings, Willowbrook stormed back with seven runs in the top of the seventh and erupted for eight more in the ninth. Cameron Zunkel belted a pair of two-run doubles and Mark Molitor went 4-for-4 with two RBI in the victory. T.J. Geritano added three hits, two RBI and two runs for Willowbrook.

Fremd 7, Deerfield 6
Courtesy runner Zach Goodman raced home on pinch-hitter Mitch Kazmer’s ground ball with the winning run in the bottom of the eighth. Ethan Hajdukovic went 3-for-4 with a triple and two RBI for the Vikings.

Wheaton North 4, South Elgin 1
Zach Colangelo
scattered seven hits in six innings and delivered a two-run single in the three-run fourth inning for the Falcons. Andrew Nelson went 2-for-3 with an RBI and two runs in the victory.

Plainfield East 8, Oswego 6
J.J. Zywiciel
singled to lead off the top of the 10th and East pushed across two unearned runs to advance. David Salazar and Matt Marchione had two RBI apiece in the victory.

Sandburg 4, Shepard 1
Kevin Lane
went the distance, allowing five hits and no walks while striking out eight in the victory.

Barrington 10, Dundee-Crown 5
Zach Balogh
and Jimmy Day both went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI for the Broncos.

Jacobs 5, Belvidere North 4
Kraeton Moll
singled home Nate Meland with the winning run in the bottom of the eighth. Evan Liebau allowed two hits in four scoreless innings of relief to pick up the win.

Andrew 6, Richards 0
Scott Youngbrandt
struck out 11 while allowing four hits and one walk in six innings for Andrew.

Niles North 3, Niles West 2

Belleville West 6, Belleville East 5 (18 innings)

CLASS 3A REGIONAL SEMIFINALS

Boylan 8, Genoa-Kingston 7
Boylan countered G-K’s sixth-run sixth with three in the bottom of the inning, including a two-run single by Carlos Arteaga that plated the tying and go-ahead runs. Sam RInaldo went 3-for-3 with three RBI in the victory.

Johnsburg 9, Lake View 7
Kaeden Quinn
went 4-for-4 with five RBI, including a two-run double in the three-run top of the seventh for the Skyhawks.

Benet 12, UIC Prep 0
Alex Tassos
homered and 13 Redwings had hits in the victory.

Marion 3, Benton 2
Jacob Schmid
went 2-for-3 with an RBI and Marion pushed across the winning run in the top of the seventh.

Elmwood Park 12, Noble/Golder 4

St. Patrick 11, Noble/Rauner 6

CLASS 1A SECTIONAL SEMIFINALS

Cobden 5, Woodlawn 0
Theron Swetzer
and J.T. Moore had RBI triples and John Russell scattered eight hits to complete the shutout and went 2-for-3 with two RBI for the Appleknockers.
