Fall Player Spotlights: Drew Grumbles

This Fall PBR Arkansas is highlighting a couple of the top uncommitted prospects from the 2023 class to a handful of talented 2025's. Today we take a look at the talented right-hander Drew Grumbles from Episcopal Collegiate HS. Grumbles jumped onto the scene this past winter at the Last Chance Preseason ID where the athletic 6-foot and 185-pound righty showed off his four pitch mix with a mid to upper 80's fastball and shaping two different breaking balls. Grumbles has a very quick arm which projects for more velocity in the future and with his feel for shaping multiple pitches makes him a strong candidate to win innings at the next level.

Drew Grumbles: RHP/OF, (2023) Episcopal Collegiate, AR. 6-foot, 180-pound mature strong frame. Consistent accuracy to the bag, used clean slot with a quick consistent arm action. Athletic solid on the mound, showing quick consistent arm speed he had a high ¾ arm angle with a short very quick arm action. Feel up-tempo type pitcher who shows easy effort. Has an athletic consistent balance point with even in line shoulders. Lands square with an athletic clean finish. Sat with his fastball at 84-87 mph; showed plus late action and both sides of the plate feel command with straight movement. Threw a 11/5 curveball (63-65) with glove side feel control and gradual some action. Threw a heavy changeup (74-78) with fading action and arm side in the zone control. Had a sharp slider (65-67) that showed tight late action and glove side in the zone command.
