Camdton Furman was the story of the day for the Midlothian Trojans, as the Randolph Macon commit threw a five inning No-Hitter in a Trojans 10-0 victory over Patrick Henry in the season opener for both squads.

Furman was dialed in from the start retiring the side in the first two innings accumulating four strikeouts. There were no hits on either side until the bottom of the second when 2019 C Logan Smith, another 2019 Randolph Macon commit, hit a hard single up the middle, but nothing came of it as Patrick Henry was able to work out of the inning. In the fourth the Trojans broke the scoring open as they put up five in the bottom half. The scoring started with a passed ball, as Carson Fuller hit a double that put runners on second and third with nobody out. JP Jarratt then hit a one run single to shallow right field to make it 2-0. Jarratt's at bat was followed up by an absolute missile to right center for a triple that scored two to make it 4-0, only to score a few pitches later on a passed ball to make it 5-0.

Furman worked a quick nine pitch top of the fifth. The Trojans came back to the plate and piled on five more as pinch hitter Matthew McCraney hit a two-run single to make it 7-0. A few batters later, with the score now at 9-0, Furman helped his own cause with a walk-off double to left field making the final score 10-0.

On the day Furman threw five innings, gave up zero hits, striking out seven, and only walking one. Carson Fuller was 2-for-3 on the day with a double and one run scored. 2021 Carter Lovasz was 1-for-3 on the day with a triple, two runs batted in, and two runs scored. 2020 Matthew McCraney was 1-for-1 with two runs scored and two runs batted in.
